Flex spot in a ppr league: Edelman, Nate Washington, Andre Roberts or Antonio Brown? I'm leaning towards Edelman with Brady throwing against Miami but am seriously fretting.

2012-12-02 09:06:40 AM
I think Edelman is a good choice. Roberts missed practice all week and I think they'll limit his snaps at best. Steelers offense is just a mess. Washington is facing Texans with Locker back, but he really hasnt done squat since week 3*. I won division last week so am coasting locked into a 3-seed. Got more lucky than good this year.

*My advice on fark ytd has been spectacularly wrong so YMMV

Thanks. I'm on the same train of thought.

This team is the second highest scoring team in Di's league, but only has an outside chance of making the playoffs. I need to win this week and next, and hope another loses this week and next. Need some advice. My RB's are D. Martin(must start), and need to start one more between M. Reece, D. Murray(expected to play), and Ryan Mathews. My wideouts are J. Edelman, M. Crabtree, D. Alexander, D. Moore, J. Blackmon, and M. Floyd. Leaning Edelman and Crabtree so far with a flex spot still to think about between one of those.

kronicfeld: Flex: Michael Bush vs. Seattle or Jeremy Maclin at Dallas?

Tough call. Seattle is hard to run against. Maclin had a good game against Dallas a few weeks ago, but now there is no Jackson, so he will have Jenkins or Claiborne on him with Carr helping covering deep.

Shiat, I neglected to throw Brandon Myers as an option in this scenario. Still think I'm sticking with Edelman.

Flex spot: Dez vs. Philly, Morris vs NYG, or Leshoure. I am leaning heavily towards Daz, but I am still unsure because he was so inconsistent towards the beggining

Ima10urin8: forte or dwyer?

If you're comfortable with his ankle, I'd definitely go with Forte. The Steeler's RBs but on an absolutely abysmal performance last week against the Browns. Plus Charlie Batch hands that ball off like shiat.

Forte may be limited this week. The Seahawks D has been tough against the run, but have been letting up the last few weeks. The Ravens have been bad against the run pretty much all season. If I recall right Dwyer is supposed to get the start. I'd go Dwyer.

Dez has been a stud in every game but the two where he was questionable. If you have Dez, use him.

Flex: Thigpen vs. New England (got zero farking points last week) or Brandon Tate at San Diego?
TE: Myers vs. Factory of Sadness or Olsen in the KC game? They've got very similar numbers, and I'm not sure what to think of that Chiefs game today.

Garcon. Giants secondary sucks.

Have 3 of those 4 penciled in. Moore is the question mark. He's been good for me this season, but will be up against Haden today. Crabtree likes to score against the Rams, and I really don't trust anyone in a San Diego uniform. Arrrgh. Don't really trust Crabtree either, and D. Murray is returning from being 6 weeks out. So I don't trust him either. I guess it really comes down Moore, Crabtree, and possibly Alexander.

Pick one for my flex wr/rb spot:
Matt Forte, who has high projected, but has been a letdown as of late
Steve Smith
Fred Jackson
TY Hilton
Danario Alexander

Going up against the top dog in the league, would be nice to knock him down a notch

Thanks!

Myers. As far as your first question goes have you looked at the waiver wire?

At the beginning of the season, if you told me I could have Mike Wallace, Hakeem Nicks and Larry Fitzgerald as my starting 3 WR's, I would have been very happy.

Interesting. I'm try to rationalize an Edelman over Donario Alexander switch in a PPR league. Would like to hear more of why you think that.

I'm also very pessimistic about Ridley today but options are LeShoure, McFadden and Moreno, none of which I like today. Halp...

Waiting to see if Miles Austin is cleared to play. Picked up Aldrick Robinson as a fill-in if needed. But maybe I should just use Robinson regardless of Austin's status. He and RGIII seem to have developed some chemistry.

Edelman is a playmaker. Period. Alexander might be better in PPR. In Di's league return yards count, so that makes Edelman even more attractive.

I'd go with alexander. He's the most productive receiver on a team that features ryan farking mathews at RB, Smith is playing against a team with massive issues (on and off the field), but I'd play the hot hand

Nicks, Randall Cobb and Darrius Heyward-Bey getting the start this week. Wallace and Fitz ride the farking pine.

It's a crapshoot, to be honest. The thing with Thigpen is that I'm a little gunshy after the Seahawks played keep-away last week, and the Patriots are awesome at kick returns (since they just get touchbacks all the time) but horrid at punt returns.

I dropped Edelman (potentially out) and picked up Woodhead. Patriots players are frustrating because you never know whose "turn" it is to score all the points. I need to win this week to get the last playoff spot and I'll only be getting that on season points. I have had a shiatty year.

So now I wonder if I gamble on Woodhead and sit Reggie Bush? I have Felix Jones and Beanie Wells on my bench and DeAngelo Williams as my flex since Jonathan Stewart is out, so he should in theory have a lot of touches but since that murder/suicide thing, I have no clue what to expect from that game. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

Brady has posted huge scores 3 of the last 4 weeks, and the pats are scoring like mad. Both he and Peyton will score big today, but I think Brady has a better chance of "blowing up".

Schaub vs the Titans
Rodgers vs the Viks

Rodgers has had a couple of bad weeks so I'm not sure if it's worth starting him.

Lynch vs Chicago
Marcel Reece vs Cleveland

Espn has Lynch at 9 projected points and Reece at 17 points, but DMac may be back and I'm not sure how many points Reece will get. Thoughts?

I wouldn't trust HEB. At least Fitz gets the ball thrown to him a bunch. By a crappy QB, but at least he gets targeted. I don't like Wallace this week at all. Ravens are weak against the run, and with their Rapier QB out, I expect the Stillers to run a lot today.

Run DMC likely out today according to NFL.com. Even if he plays, Reece is still more productive than Lynch IMO.

But at the same time, Bucs are giving up 55 y/g more and twice the TDs (16-8) than the Dolphins. I hate you for having both QB's mind you, but I think you're right.
