In Mike's defense, he's been alive a lot longer than he should have been. He must have some wisdom.

That was surprisingly cogent and compassionate.

That is the most impressive statement I've ever heard from Mr. Tyson, ya know compared to, "I'll eat your children!"

As crazy as Mike was in his younger years and indeed into his 30's he seems to have done a 180 and has put the mistakes of his past away and turned them into wisdom. He has been to hell and back and that was because of his choices. I am extremely happy that he has moved away from his troubles. Good for him.

/I agree, he seems to have calmed down ,and is not such an animal now, with the mental and cognitive functions of your average eggplant. Good advice there. Seems like too much cash and fame gives some people a large case of the stupids. Good for him for becoming more human.

He actually has shown quite a bit. His commentary on chris brown's issues was pretty wise.

What has your life come to when:
A: Mike Tyson is giving you advice, and:
B: You'd improve your situation by taking it?

For everyone who thinks Tyson is just the "I'll eat your children" character, please watch this:

By far one of the best documentaries I've seen.  He's one of the most complex people of our time.  It certainly manifests itself in a lot of bad... but that's just the tip of the iceburg.

Mike even during his peak of awful behavior always admitted he had a ton of underlying issues that cause him to act the way he did. He never ever blamed anyone but himself and finally his enablers. He's done a incredible job of kicking out the enablers and addressing his deep seeded issues and has come to peace with himself.

Even in this interview he's taking ownership of his past.. He's not the most educated person in the world but he seems extremely well versed in self awareness.

As amazing as it seems , Mike is right on.

This dude absolutely has gone to hell and back and knows what it takes to drag yourself back up.

I don't think Lindsay has half the intelligence or wisdom Mike has however...

I came to make a really bad "Hey Lindsay, lend me your ear and I'll give you some advice" quip, but I too am leaving impressed.

Tyson took his shiat life and learned from it. He went through a hell that would kill most mortal men and he came out the other side a wiser and a better man. Its very surprising it didnt make him bitter or kill him.

I am very impressed by this man and his continued betterment of himself. Good for him...

give here to Mikey, he'll eat anything. ok, that was unneccessary.

she's just another spoiled American who has to learn the hard way. too much success too fast.

Considering that he turned his life around, I have no problems with this. Now Charlie Sheen giving LiLo advice is just absurd.

csb:

Met Iron Mike walking down Sunset Blvd. one random day on vacation. He was sitting on the front steps of the cigar shop down the street from the House of Blues. I said, "Hey! Iron Mike! Big fan!" He said, "Thank you." Shook his hand and got the hell out of there.
