Meh. 14/20.

2012-12-02 12:24:04 AM

dahmers love zombie: Meh. 14/20.

Same. Most of the real ones I saw here.

I did not do well on that. 11/20.

2012-12-02 12:47:23 AM
18/20

Though, given my name, I probably should have done better...

2012-12-02 12:57:25 AM
A little disappointed the Ahmadinejad/Obama one wasn't true. I wonder what would happen if you read GOP voters campaign statements from the two of them and asked them which they liked better?

TheOnion: 18/20

Though, given my name, I probably should have done better...

Well, let's see how The Onion is prophetic does.

2012-12-02 01:02:09 AM
16/20, but only because I've seen so many of them here.

2012-12-02 01:04:22 AM

GAT_00: A little disappointed the Ahmadinejad/Obama one wasn't true.

Actually, when this story ran in the Onion, people were posting it to Facebook as real news and blasting Obama with it.

2012-12-02 01:05:24 AM
12/20. I had seen a number of them before, and the rest...well, Poe's Law is making it more difficult to discern reality from mythology by the day.

2012-12-02 01:05:26 AM
I almost got a perfect 50/50, but Fark taught me about the cannibal cocktails and the Best Korean unicorns, so I got 12 right.

2012-12-02 01:07:18 AM
I almost feel ashamed that I actually believed that the Ahmadinejad/Obama headline was true. Almost.

14/20. It helps to visit Fark almost everyday.

2012-12-02 01:08:44 AM
And for the record, I missed:

- The gorilla one,
- The pigeon one,
- The Victoria Beckham one,
- The Powerball one,
- The WoW one,
- The Ann Romney one,
- The Ahmadinejad one, and
- The pissing one.

Man, I can't believe I missed the pissing one.

2012-12-02 01:11:38 AM
That's right, post a headline and a sentence from a bunch of interesting looking articles and don't link to any one of them. That's not annoying at all.

2012-12-02 01:14:22 AM
12/20 dang.

2012-12-02 01:18:46 AM

jaylectricity: TheOnion: 18/20

Though, given my name, I probably should have done better...

Well, let's see how The Onion is prophetic does.

18 out of 20 as well... got tripped up on the Victoria Beckham and Mitt Romney ones

2012-12-02 01:20:46 AM
15/20. Poor.

2012-12-02 01:21:31 AM
The Ahmadinejad story was mentioned in the article a few days ago about Chinese media falling for The Onion's story about Kim Jung Un being named sexiest man alive.
Apparently, Iranian media fell for the Ahmadinejad survey.

Of course, one would have to actually RTFA to know that.

2012-12-02 01:23:54 AM
I gave up half way through. I can no longer tell satire from reality.

2012-12-02 01:32:08 AM
15/20. Missed Victoria Beckham, Powerball, Unicorn (I forgot!), Ahmadinejad, American Airlines (though now I remember that article).

2012-12-02 01:47:47 AM
9/20 (hangs head in shame). I can't tell real life from satire anymore, and I clearly spend too much time working and not enough time perusing Fark to be alerted to what's an Onion article and what's not.

/Human toes... wut?

I got 7/20

Someone really should teach gorillas that they are going to die one day.

HortusMatris: 9/20 (hangs head in shame). I can't tell real life from satire anymore, and I clearly spend too much time working and not enough time perusing Fark to be alerted to what's an Onion article and what's not.

People lose their toes to frostbite in the Yukon. Oh, and 11/20.

2012-12-02 02:03:32 AM
9/20

What are you people, wizards?

2012-12-02 02:05:45 AM

MurphyMurphy: Someone really should teach gorillas that they are going to die one day.

That's when I knew I was in trouble. It seemed completely plausible to me.

2012-12-02 02:10:52 AM
9/20.

At least it wasn't in slideshow format. +1 Subby.

2012-12-02 02:18:31 AM
10/20. Wow.

NONE of those should exist.

2012-12-02 02:52:29 AM
16/20, heh. I recognized about 6 of the Onion articles just from the headline.

2012-12-02 03:01:30 AM
17/20

Going by the principle of "This just seems to dumb to be real..."

2012-12-02 04:04:33 AM
15/20, bah

2012-12-02 05:37:52 AM
18/20 as well. Missed the Jerry Sandusky/Joe Paterno and the Victoria Beckham ones.

2012-12-02 06:01:19 AM
17/20 Beckham, Romney and damn that ape story seemed plausible, D'oh!

/I credit Fark and idle hands.

2012-12-02 07:09:24 AM
13/20

They are way too similar.

2012-12-02 07:41:38 AM
15/20

Also, mummified toe cocktails. What

2012-12-02 08:29:21 AM
16/20. The wrong ones were: Sandusky, Beckham, Powerball Winners, Toes in Drinks. World of World of Warcraft was perhaps the most obvious one

2012-12-02 09:03:37 AM

GAT_00: A little disappointed the Ahmadinejad/Obama one wasn't true. I wonder what would happen if you read GOP voters campaign statements from the two of them and asked them which they liked better?

Actually its true in Iran. Link

2012-12-02 09:03:40 AM
14/20. iFail

2012-12-02 09:03:52 AM
20/20, though I had to guess at some of the Fox / Republican ones because you never can tell if those clowns are serious or not.

2012-12-02 09:09:20 AM
13/20 myself thanks FARK for telling that most (insert tag here) stuff will be reported by the news!!! all the ones I missed I marked as real. Thanks Onion for becoming less satirical and more porphetic.

2012-12-02 10:02:00 AM
14/20

The one's I got right because of FARK: Best Korean Unicorns, Romney/Snooki/BooBoo, Taiwanese Urination, Obama/Ahmadinejad, and Cow Sex/Marriage

2012-12-02 10:31:16 AM
13/20. The mark of good satire is that you're not sure if it's real or fake.

2012-12-02 11:48:56 AM
11/20
the onion needs to do a bit more work blurring the lines...

2012-12-02 12:35:47 PM

Wow, you are a bigoted asshole. You think all people who live in the country are ignorant.

Maybe some of us don't like living with overbearing city taxes, smoking bans, fois gras bans, and nanny staters.

harbingerofdoom: 11/20

Thnk they are doing a good job of cruising the line. More fun than that way when the mainstream gets it wrong.

2012-12-02 10:49:18 PM
I got most of them wrong and gave around zero farks.

/thread

2012-12-03 12:09:00 PM

Victoria Beckham & Ann Romney.
