A limpet torch got a laugh out of me, but it looks like it took more effort than the others.

No...I'm sorry, but nothing is worse than Fountain

Fountain is why I hate art people. I was in an art class that spent had a week and a half circle jerk over this. They would then go on to mock for a good chunk of time something that someone actually spent time working on.

Yeah when people miss what it was tends to kill art class. Then again the second anyone tries to take Dada seriously, well yeah.

If it took more than 30 minutes to understand the absurdly simple reason for and meaning of that artwork you should have asked for your tuition back. You may not have been cut out for college.

Seriously. It's not that difficult.

Dunno, I distinctly remember seeing a pink fluorescent tube... In the freaking MOMA! I thought it was left there because someone forgot it, but then I noticed the "artist/technique/date" tag.... Trolololoool!

At the Philly Metropolitain Museum of Art I walked down a stair and thought I had taken a wrong turn, maybe I did as I ended up in the modern art section.

exhibet 1. museum paid $4000: showing the futility of our fight against nature - a broken 'snow shovel' a dollar store snow shovel made from a bit of curved plastic and a dowel.

exhibet 2. museum paid $16,000: room with people staring at the walls floor and ceiling. It took me a while to find the plaque that said, 'Room with various shades of blue"

Exhibet 3: way too much money: circle of sharp stones. that is what it was a circular arangement of rough stones, each about 6"x6"x6" perhaps 8' in diameter.

Then it occured to me, this was the class of art that evokes an emotional responce in those who view it, for me it was "WTF???" but for most of the patrons in the Blue Room who were looking at the walls 'too dumb to figure out they were being fleeced.'
