Shiat, Canada, that ain't nothin'. Here in the States the GOP has thousands of Dems declared dead in the months before every election. And you have to go prove you're alive before being allowed to vote.

And yes, it's only Rethuglicans that try pulling that shiat.

It happens. One of the mortality reporting companies probably had someone with a similar name and it spread from there.

Being officially dead would be kind of fun. You could commit all the crimes you wanted with a foolproof defense: "Your honor, I could not have robbed that bank. I died last October."

Not with Obamacare, friend.

I wouldn't mind if that happened to me. My wife is the primary beneficiary to a six figure policy. Plus when the student loan jackasses call, I can just tell them that I am dead and forward them to my insurance company.

Not to threadjack or anything but the story on the sidebar is kind of interesting.

'Saskatchewan approves liquefying bodies as alternative to traditional cremation.'

"We believe this process, which enables a portion of human remains to be flushed down a drain, to be undignified," Patrick McGee, a spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester, once told USA Today.

Flushed like a goldfish? .

I thought the stance of the catholic church was to be as expected. Yet, the way the guy stated it was kind of funny.
Fixed a burner and re-bricked the interior of a furnace at a crematorium once. Kind of interesting actually.

It's not the insurance company that did this. Someone else reported him dead and he learned about it from the insurance company. He's lucky he didn't learn about this at the border when his enhanced license bounced back as invalid.

In case you don't understand, let me explain. I am the one insured, the wife is the primary beneficiary. If I am declared dead, she gets paid. We share the same bank account. Yeah, I might have to borrow her debit card. But I did not wish her to be dead. Especially in the part where I said "I wouldn't mind if that happened to me".

As for the part of me being a dead beat, well, the dead aren't responsible for their debt. I die, or are declared dead by a computer error and my student loans are as collectible as any debts Jimmy Hoffa may have had remaining three weeks after he went missing. Better is that debt isn't inheritable, so my student loans die upon my declaration of death. They can badger my wife about paying them and she can get a lawyer to explain to them the legalities of debt collection as she sues them.

So in this case, it's not about being a dead beat, it's about using the laws to your advantage. I didn't say that if this happened to me I'd get a Visa card, rack up $10,000 in debt and then tell Visa that I was dead and wasn't going to pay.

Also, lighten up Francis

Sadly, he really IS dead. You can tell because nothing goes missing around the Lodge anymore.

As for the guy in TFA, tell him to get in contact with Lal Bihari.
