Well I guess you're one of the lucky ones. Also, appx. 10% of the population doesn't seem to get a high from opiates, though they do get pain relief. Some people find the side effects intolerable and are left wondering why the abuse potential is so high.
On the flip side I hated cocaine the one time I tried it and had no desire to try it again. Everyone is different.
