Joining the above names in the survey of 450,000 new baby names this year were Ace -- perhaps related to the Samsung Galaxy Ace

Oh, FFS.

Erm, Mac is actually a pretty common name. And their example of Apple is limited to pretentious celebrities.

Siri also seems like it'd be a common name.

Had it been iPhone or worse, iPad; that'd be ridiculous.

As dumb as those names are, they're infinitely better than "Braeden" or "Madison".

Hashtag. There are some parents out there who named their baby 'Hashtag'. How could you hold a little baby, look into that sweet, trusting face, and then do something so horrible to it? ARGH

Could always nickname them 'Pound'.

There used to be laws about baby names. They had to be from the bible or ancient history. No making them up or naming them after products would fly. They could bring legal standards back by requiring names to be from classical literature or ancient history to avoid separation of church and state striking the law down.

Or people could continue to name their kids whatever the fark they want and we can all mind our own farking business. You know that, or pass some laws about it.

We got a new kitten recently that we named Ace. But it was some combination of Kiefer Sutherland's character on "Stand By Me", Ace Frehley, Sam Rothstein from Casino and the fact that he's a black cat, like the ace of spades.

Samsung's product didn't factor in at all.

It's still better than naming your kid Aiden, Jaden, Brayden, Caden, or Raiden.

Actually Raiden is ok.

I promised myself that if I were to ever have a son, his name would be Kratos. Then I grew the hell up.

Now I just want to name him Vault Dweller.

There should be a couple of laws.

Propecia is a drug for male pattern baldness. I guess the new parents turned on the TV in the hospital room and named their girl after the first commercial they saw.
