Peki: Thanks, Fark! For years I had wondered why my psoriasis patches were so odd. My scalp and forehead are completely covered, and the patch goes down the sides of my face, but has never really encroached anywhere on my face proper (nothing on eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks) in spite of not treating it for years. I also have weird bands on my back and stomach where it alternates between being a huge swath of psoriasis and completely normal skin. Turns out these are falling along the stripes. I wonder if it'll help me figure out where future patches might form. . . .
some_beer_drinker: i think that shiat is pretty random. i have had it for over 30 years. mostly legs, elbows...some scalp.

Zel: In this case, replace disease with tanning propensity and you can have visible striping in rare instances.
Diogenes: Great. First, sparkly vampires. Now striped humans.
Ogre840: Humans have stripes...So you know they're clean?
UsikFark: [www.med-ars.it image 700x349]It would be interesting if they had a gene-sensitive pigment that could be activated along these lines.
