Nem Wan: Lucas self-financed the production, so he was signing the paychecks of everybody he supposedly had no control of. The film obviously benefited from a greater variety of strong points of view than were involved in the prequel productions, but this myth that Lucas somehow wasn't in control or getting what he wanted is silly.
