Lord Binky:This. Referring to playing video games as "gaming" is presumptuous, ignorant, and even a little arrogant. I grew up knowing "gaming" to refer to board, miniatures, cards, role-playing, etc games, but even then, gaming originally referred to gambling. "Gaming" is so much more than video games that it annoys me to see the term become so limited to what's popular.
Words, like people, change over time. A few years back, you could have a gay old time and nothing queer would come of it.
