Richard Freckle: ExperianScaresCthulhu: Richard Freckle: vernonFL: The Jews got a better deal on Kristallnacht.

The Japanese got a better deal with Hiroshima.

Nookular hyperbole!!!!!

The Japanese were a case of 'don't start none, won't be none'. The US was all perfectly fine to officially sit back like cowards and let the rest of the world burn while raking in the profits, not our concern. Then Japan shot its wad early. Oh, hell no.

the Kristallnacht one means the Jews had a hand in started shiat after all? or just a dig on Krauthammer ethnic jewishness?

Were you talking to me, or did you not reply to the incorrect person? In case you were talking to me, Mr. vernonFL often misrepresents an argument to gain attention. We like to call that trolling. All, in good fun for most folks. I however was mocking that current economic issues that are maybe not quite as bad as hatred for groups of people or maybe not quite as bad as dropping a bomb on civilians in order to end a war. These are horrific events in history in their own right and maybe we shouldn't compare our very manageable situation to those events, you know because it's disrespectful to those who suffer.

To Vernon. Sorry dude.

As for the Japanese, they needed a nuclear bomb dropped on them. Twice. The Japanese were assholes, and treated prisoners of war like shiat. If that's what it took to knock some sense in and bring the war to a real close, well...

theknuckler_33: The Democrats won by 3% of the vote and they did not hold the House. Republicans won the House. So this is not exactly unconditional surrender, but that's what the administration is asking of Republicans.

I love this "they barely won" narrative the right is pushing considering the results of 2000 and 2004.

What can Obama do without the house?

Please. Someone please take one look at Krauthammer's "face" and try telling me that he's a human!

It's like what a demon or hostile alien intent on destroying Humanity would wear as a rubber mask over it's real head.

does his belly rumble loudly? does he excuse himself often that he hasn't had anything to eat yet?
is he planning on building a nuclear reactor in the middle of Cardiff B'more?

I enjoy when I'm eating a huge meal or am at a buffet or all-you-can-eat place and I'm filling up, but then I go and take a massive shiat, and then I'm good to go and double what I've eaten.

I don't know how popular of a view point it is as of late, and people have forgotten what war like that really means. However, the fact that they didn't surrender after the first bomb was dropped and after they were warned about the second really does speak towards the necessity of both. OTOH, I don't know what it means that no one has dropped a bomb since. Outside of it being something to be ever so grateful for.

So what did Chuckles actually say?

It's not just a bad deal, this is really an insulting deal... Robert E. Lee was offered easier terms at Appomattox and he lost the Civil War. The Democrats won by 3% of the vote and they did not hold the House. Republicans won the House. So this is not exactly unconditional surrender, but that's what the administration is asking of Republicans.

First, despite not using "we" there, CK making the GOP the Confederacy in his analogy is hilariously apt.

Second, Republicans gerrymandered their win of the House, so asterisk there.

Third the GOP have not bartered in good faith to date in any attempts made to find a reasonable compromise solution so his assertion that it's the Dems who are being the unreasonable bullies in this picture is pure RW projection.

Finally, if Charles Krauthammer said on national teevee right now that the Pope was Catholic I'd have to double check on wiki to make sure he wasn't lying cos the guy currently holds the all-time record for being wrong about everything.

He's the George Costanza of politics.
