I have $10 and I'm looking for a party?

2012-11-29 09:18:34 PM
I'd be disturbed that the only way they verified it wasn't her was to call up the number, instead of setting up a sting in the first place since prostitution is illegal. Even the last paragraph in the story claims she could have got involved in something where she is "exploited". If true, who's to say that someone else answers the phone and sets up the appointments, so she can't try and get help over the phone?

Contrary to popular belief, prostitution is not legal in the city of Las Vegas.

Apparently you can have a naked woman in your room, but you can't have sex with her.

And if she was in a legal Nevada brothel (not in Vegas), she isn't technically a "hooker".

Using someone's pic like that is despicable, even if she wasn't missing.

This is me, by the way, just before I made Bin Laden's head explode with my fist:

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get to the gym 26 minutes, work out for a few hours, bang 3 of my Canadian supermodel girlfriends, and get to bed. I have a big day of performing rocketsurgery, killing terrorists, curing homosexuality, and banging more models.

Hookers "hook" clients (ie street walk). If you're in a brothel, you don't do that (and it's illegal).

Like others said, in Las Vegas prostitution is illegal, despite all the Mexican illegal immigrants lining the sidewalks trying to force into your hand a flyer for prostitutes. It's illegal and the LVPD can bust a working girl just like in any other city. The rumor I heard is it was the mob that wanted to keep legal prostitution out of Vegas to keep the city respectable. Besides, Parump, NV and all of its brothels are only an hour's drive from Vegas. "Two dollars a Parump."

Not really. When I go into Walmart I don't have to worry that the stock clerk is going to get beat by Sam Walton

When I have my hair cut I don't worry that halfway through the haircut the barber will grab my money and run.

I don't have to worry about human trafficking in almost every business I go to.

I'm thinking "lingerie model" must mean something different in Colorado than it does in the Southeast. how do you aspire to dance in a little room while some guy masturbates? I would think that would be a job where no work experience is required.

The most disturbing thing about the hispanics handing out cards is that a few of them were maybe old enough to be in middle school.

They're not just Mexican. A lot of them are Salvadorian and Guatemalan. Just b/c they speak Spanish doesn't automatically make them Mexican.

Well, the biggest part of that is that department stores and haircuts are legal last I knew.

"Human trafficking", assuming I'm right about what you're talking about is detestable. However, prostitution itself, as long as everyone involved in the sale are consenting adults, should be legalized and regulated just like any other legitimate way of making a living.
