(Gallup)   Sorry socialist libs, you're now in the minority. Most Americans are now against the idea of health care being guaranteed by the government   (gallup.com) divider line 148

A Gallup poll? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

2012-11-29 09:57:07 AM
Thanks, tards!
They must have asked this question to "likely voters"

LOL

2012-11-29 09:57:11 AM
Oh look, it's Gallup.

2012-11-29 09:58:34 AM
I remember a recent poll that re-elected the most socialist socializer who ever socialed.  I'll trust that one a little more.

2012-11-29 10:19:21 AM
What a loaded question?

You could also ask "Does Government have a responsibility to improve access to affordable health care insurance?" and you would get an overwhelmingly positive response.

Hey subby! If you want to live in a third-world country where the poor lay dying in the streets, there are many options for you. Bye.

This is what I was going to say.

It's an even wider gap favoring bootstrappiness when the poll is unskewed.

I'll believe it when I hear it from Dean Chambers third chin.

Umm... Didn't Republicans learn something about using Gallup polls in this last election?

didn't nate silver mathematically prove that Gallup was hopelessly biased towards a pro-Republican viewpoint?

Whatever trolling label you use Submitter ("lib," "socialist") the fact is that the American style 'socialism' (public risk, private profit) has decreed that this thing is gonna happen. So best come to peace with it now, see how it works and change the parts that don't work when we find out what those are going to be.

Nope.

As a socialist libtard, it still baffles me that anyone disagrees with the statement "Everyone, regardless of wealth, should have access to proper health care."

What about that statement is so disagreeable?

the only way it makes sense is if you are a social Darwinist or eugenicist. the weak fall and die, the strong survive and breed.

Hey, John "The Crying Man" Boehner, the Affordable Care Act is going to happen. Time to man up, wipe the tears away, and soldier on to your next unwinnable battle against soshulizm.

I think somehow the question (and just Gallop being Gallop) could have something to do with it.

1) Should all Americans have access to affordable health care, and should the government be involved in ensuring that?

2) Do you think it the responsibility of the federal government...?

I think we should have universal healthcare in the US. I think the federal government is the best tool to achieve that. I don't know that I consider the federal government responsible for it though.

Thoughtless, blind ideology disagrees. Logic, reason, and human compassion have nothing to do with it.

2012-11-29 12:36:46 PM
Gallup gives me the trots.

2012-11-29 01:14:36 PM

ginandbacon: Oh look, it's Gallup.

And they have one poll where "the majority" don't want the government to run health care (UNLIKE in the past), but have been consistently dissatisfied with health care as it was.

Is there a THIRD option, outside of government or private industry? Or has the "majority" finally and officially met the criteria for "insane"?

2012-11-29 01:28:36 PM
The majority of Americans are morons?

Suck it, socialist libs.

Romney 49%, Obama 48% in Gallup's Final Election Survey

I don't get it either...

However, they think that:
1. It will be really expensive tax-wise
2. The wait will be longer because people will go to the doctors everytime they get a hang nail

Not exactly realistic concerns, but that is typically why (I have a really conservative family)

2012-11-29 01:30:49 PM
FTFA: Republicans, including Republican-leaning independents, are mostly responsible for the drop since 2007 in Americans' support for government ensuring universal health coverage. In 2007, 38% of Republicans thought the government should do so; now, 12% do.

Whaddya know, the Republicans continue to harden their hard-right stance. I couldn't be more shocked.

OK, let's axe Medicare.

2012-11-29 01:32:59 PM
Gallup lost all credibility with me after their 'employment at 7.1' and 'Romney up by 6' crap. This and the Business Week article that said they didn't care if they were right or wrong- only that they were getting press.

2012-11-29 01:33:15 PM
Well, it's a good thing that's not what Obamacare does

2012-11-29 01:34:51 PM
This is the same Gallup that predicted Romney to win in a landslide right?

2012-11-29 01:34:54 PM
The festering corpse that is Gallup continues to rise, even after 47 shots to the head.

2012-11-29 01:36:28 PM
And what are the numbers after we remove the eight points of conservative bias that makes the poll roughly eight points to the wrong?

2012-11-29 01:37:02 PM
Sorry libs, but in a poll 99% of Americans revealed that they are opposed to jackbooted health nazis sending their grandmothers to death camps in the middle of the night.

Well under Obamacare the government does not guarantee everyone gets healthcare therefore - Majoirty support Obamacare!!!

/yes I know it, that doesn't work like that. I am using their Derp against them.

2012-11-29 01:38:05 PM
Right, Gallup. I totally believe them, after all that accurate polling they did on the Presidential election.

What I don't get is, most objective analysis of the whole thing suggest it would actually be cheaper in the long run. What do poor people do now? They go to the emergency room. They simply don't pay, they can't. So my insurance premiums are higher because of that. We ALREADY have socialized medicine in that sense, it's just really farking sloppy. Why not streamline it?

As for the lines, well I have a very good friend in Sweden, which is the most socialisty place since Lenin came to Socialisttown, and from what she tells me, there aren't people dying in the streets waiting for medical care. Taxes are high there, but there are still rich people.

So I don't think that either of those two arguments (and I realize you aren't the one making them) really pass muster.

2012-11-29 01:39:03 PM
loaded question.
biased results
mission accomplished.

who commissioned this poll?
