Millers Bar in Dearborn--Their burgers are fantastic--Kudos for making the list!!

Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadu: 5 guys is kind of hit or miss these days, but they're pretty solid. There's also a chain in the PA/DE area called Jake's which aren't bad.

I have to say one of the best burgers I've had was at Village Whiskey in Philly, one of Jose Garces' places. Maple bourbon glazed cipollini, rogue bleu cheese, applewood bacon, and foie gras. Yeah, a tad over the top, but delicious.

KierzanDax: Since we're doing burger porn...

I present the "Good Dog Burger" from Good Dog, a bar in Philly.
"1/2 lb. of house ground sirloin stuffed with Roquefort cheese & topped with caramelized onions, served
on a toasted brioche bun."

Criag LaBan (local food critic) even wrote a song about it.
(Includes cameos from Rouge and Five Guys...)

I was gonna say, it seems pretty ridiculous to me that there are so many burgers from NYC and none from Philly (which Travel Channel ranked as the 2nd best burger city in the country). I haven't tried the NYC burgers, but it would be very difficult for me to believe they're all better than Village Whiskey's burger.

I loved the Good Dog burger when I had it a couple years ago, but I've had more than a handful of friends tell me it's gone downhill significantly in the past year. Still, are all those NYC places better than Good Dog, Rouge (another classic that's gone a bit downhill, but I still think it's really good), Butcher & Singer, and Pub & Kitchen?

I've been dying to try a burger from Village Whiskey's since it's the "hot" burger now. I still haven't made it to Royal Tavern, a previous holder of the hot burger title.

pedobearapproved: Matrix Flavored Wasabi: In-N-Out has to be the most overrated burger I've ever had. Same with Five Guys fries. I'll take my local joints any day.

AMEN!

Backyard burger is the best fast food burger I've had, even then I'll take the burger joint down the street over it. When quality takes front seat over mass standardization it just tastes better.

Also Five Guys cheeseburger has 840 calories, 26.5 grams of saturated fat, and 1050mg of sodium. Hmmm I wonder why people think it tastes good (*hint* it's the huge amount of fat and salt). You could have two In-and-Out cheeseburgers for that with less saturated fat (of course it still has fark tons of salt).

what 1000 mg of sodium looks like

saturated fat is actually good for u.
do some research

It's not recommended for any human alive to eat 26.5 grams of saturated fat in a day, let alone in one meal. Even the most active men are told to keep it under about 22 grams.

Water's good for you too, but if you leave your head in a bucket of it long enough you'll suffer an adverse health condition.

Do some research.
