Subby here, I'm having problems with my blood sugar. Never had any problems before but starting last weekend, I started passing out. It turns out when my blood sugar drops even though it's still in safe numbers, my body interprets that as a serious drop so I get all the horrible symptoms. It's scary stuff, and I can't work because I'm weak and have dizzy spells. I know CSB

I don't think so. The symptoms fit hypoglycemia pretty much to a tee, but every time I check my sugar level it's normal. The doctors think I'm prediabetic so my sugar runs higher than it should. When it drops to the level is should be, my body jumps into panic mode.

Sounds like your pancreas is shorting out. Try putting some butter on it.

It sounds like you caught the sexually transmitted disease known as life. Unfortunately it is 100% fatal. You're going to die.

A priest, a minister and a rabbi walk into a bar and the giraffe says 'The highballs are on me.'

Yeah, I know, sort of a mash-up but still, it makes me laugh.

Anyway, dude, had to get a physical myself last summer and found I was falling apart and had ZERO symptoms.

Hang in there and do what the docs tell ya.

Dude. Not cool. I have problems with my blood sugar as well, but I've never passed out. I just get really dizzy and have to try to feed my chubby self something, pronto. I am so sorry that is happening to you. Things like that are scary, because you never really get a solid diagnosis. I shall do my "wild, underpants only dance to obscure Ukrainian or Nordic heavy metal band" dance in an effort to heal you. Or at least give you a good giggle at the visual.

ModernPrimitive01: problems with my blood sugar

So that's what you kids are calling "masturbation addiction" these days.

I went through dizzy spells once. I had mono, hypoglycemia and sinusitis at the same time and didn't put in a full week of work for four months. The dizzy spells went away after three weeks though. Scary stuff, I hope it's just temporary and not anything serious.

If it's Ukranian heavy metal let it be Drudkh and if it's Nordic in general any Bathory album will do

You know my wife came home from work yesterday and asked "how many kittens did you kill today?" I could honestly answer none because I felt so bad. Had the house to myself all day too. What a sad state of affairs for a husband

I'm listening to Svartsot right now, cuz it's my birfday (yay! survived another year!) and some years back I broke my ankle on my 40th birthday shooting the bowl in a neighbor's drained pool with their dog giving me slobbery kisses (some watch dog you got there if it gives the neighborhood creepy chick kisses instead of running her off) as I was laying there in horrible pain, thinking "that cloud looks like, well, a cloud". It is a birthday tradition for me now. The Danish heavy metal, not the broken ankle part. Cuz that sucked. Gonna totally look up Drudkh, though. I do not know them for some reason. Probably trying to keep up with too much at once, and failing miserably.

Are you now on a special eating schedule or has it not progressed to the point where there is a treatment plan for your blood sugar problem? I have to at least nibble on something every couple hours when I'm active. If I'm just chillin', it's not so bad, but I guess the human body, using/converting sugar as an energy source, needs more of it if you're going to do things like rampage the mall. If I go to the mall and don't have a snack or two in my backpack, I stop by GNC and buy a couple energy bars. Otherwise, I'd pull a you and probably pass out within a couple of hours.

Again, I'm sorry that's happening to you. It really does reek of total suckage and can be hard to deal with blood sugar issues. You can't go anywhere without snacks or a plan to buy them before the world starts to spin in ways it should not.

I just saw the doctor for the first time 2 days ago. I went to a football game without eating and passed out. I thought I just had the flu and was dehydrated but I still felt foggy headed and dizzy for a couple days so I made an appointment. They told me I was probably pre diabetes but every time I feel like crap and they check my blood sugar it's around 90 (a high normal). They gave me a meal plan which I started yesterday. According to the doctor my body will adjust to the normal level. Right now I'm eating almost every hour just to keep my body going but it still feels constantly low. Yesterday it crashed twice really bad but today it's slightly better. I need to be back at work on Monday though so I'm not sure how that will go. I'll just have to pack a ton of food and eat at my desk constantly

A man walks into a bar and says "Ow."

Why doesn't Smokey the Bear have any kids?

Every time his wife gets hot he beats her with a shovel.

My uncle's a magician. The other day he was walking down the street and turned into a drugstore.

/FYI, the horse/why the long face joke was told at one table by three different men (who had sat down one after the other) who had never told it to each other before at a Christmas party for a company I worked at. After hearing it the third time, my wife thought we were all losers. :)

That's my favorite corny joke ever!!!

Well that and.....
A rope walks into a bar, the bartender says "Hey we don't serve ropes here!" The rope goes back out, ties himself up and messes his hair up, walks back into the bar. Bartender says "Aren't you the rope I just threw out?" Rope says "Me? I'm a frayed knot."

Go ahead and pass out at work, hit your head on the desk and put in a comp claim.

Have you seen an endocrinologist for the full work up? Maybe it's not sugar. Maybe it's brain-devouring space slugs with a poor sense of direction and they're hanging out in your pancreas.

This probably won't cheer you up, but you might need to check other stuff. I had an episode last year that mimiced blood sugar symptoms but turned out to be SVT - supraventricular tachycardia. Metroprolol is a heck of a drug.

Reasons to feel better, Part 3:

1. I don't know where you live = I won't be assraping you later tonight.
2. At doctors examination you will not hear him/her utter 'This is dildos!'
3. Most stuff is not fatal. A year from now you probably won't even remember today.
4. Remember that ultimate dooshbag that busted your balls when you were a freshman in HS? It just so happens I do know where he lives. And Ima assraping him later tonight.
Part 3: You never got so drunk you had a tattoo put on your forehead.
Feel better soon, dickhead. XXXOOO
