Probably missing something really obvious, but why do people opt for banging a prostitute in their car in public (albeit out of sight) instead of hiring an escort to meet them at their house or a hotel? With the escort option you get the advantage of a bed, of not being in public, of not having to risk getting seen by someone who knows you and not having to trawl around the streets until you find one you like the look of.

Other than the fact that I'm presuming it's cheaper and that these are desperate guys, why the hell take that route?

I'd presume a significant cost differential, like the difference between €300 an hour plus a €160 hotel room and a €60 hit it and forget it.

Read up on hookers in Hawaii during WWII. (I saw some History Channel documentary thereon).
