Hey, conservative movement:

shiat like this is why you were surprised when you lost the election.

Human emotions,
incendi

Sorry. I don't trust any conservative fact checking site that doesn't have a picture of a fat guy standing in front of pine trees.

2012-11-29 09:19:25 AM
Ah, it was just a matter of time before this sort of thing started to crop up.

Fact checkers really knocked the teeth out of the GOP bullshiat machine this time around.

I'm glad to see they have gordon gecko around to write their article on hostess

"The bankruptcies and salary increases were part one -- the latter isn't greed; it's simply compensation. The liquidation was also carefully managed, and the proposal to cut workers' salaries and retirement benefits was specifically designed to be a win-win -- if they capitulated, then the company would stay in business. And if they did not, then the assets would be sold to the highest bidder. And, Twinkies and the other Hostess brands will survive."

Phyllis Schlafly will not be trifled with. Tread cautiously, Conservative Fact Check. You're upsetting forces beyond your ken.

If your belief system requires that you omit any opposing ideas from ever being presented to you, then you should really consider taking yourself out of the genetic pool.

CFC is dedicated to providing a conservative alternative to enormously liberal-biased fact checking sites like snopes.com, factcheck.org, and politifact.com.

Should tell you all you need to know. At least politifact is somewhat merciful to Republicans by trying to please both sides.

Ha, politifact is biased!!!!!! I knew it!!!1!

...or, you know, conservative politicians lie a whole lot.

Meant to be a factual statement.

I look on this as more a business opportunity than anything else.  Pretty soon they'll want a conservative Amazon, conservative Google, conservative Twitter, conservative Fark.  It's time to get in on the ground floor of the right's complete divorce from reality.

Lies, damned lies, statistics, and Conservative "facts".

2012-11-29 10:11:27 AM
I love the reasoning: Politifact shows that conservatives lie more than liberals. Therefore, it's liberal bias, not more conservatives lying.... Obviously!

Actually if you read the article about Romney and the middle class it isn't bat shiat crazy skewed like Fox News or Tardblogs. Basically calls out Romney's campaign staffer for talking out of his ass.

Well, it has been shown that facts have a liberal bias.

Fact check in what sense?

All of the articles on that page are opinion pieces -- no fact checks at all. Have conservatives become so steeped in their own reality stew they can't tell the difference anymore?

FTF-Oil-Price-Article:President Romney can shake things up by offering tax incentives to domestic oil companies to keep their oil in the United States. It's simple: if an oil company sells its product domestically for $46 a gallon (about the price necessary for gas that's $2.00 a gallon or less), they get a tax incentive against the money they lose by selling it at the current spot market price.

Yes. The mindset of the conservative Christians, faith over facts, has so thoroughly infused through the Republican party that they are incapable of critical, rational thought.

Yes, and those are "conservative facts."

Prosecution rests, m'lud.

2012-11-29 10:20:15 AM
This is a very bad idea for the GOP to be traveling down this spiral into an echo chamber so dense that no talkingpoints can escape. The Democrats fight their battles and move their narrative on the traditional media "the lamestream media" where Republicans are fighting their battles and trying to push their narrative on conspiracy news orgs and websites that are only preaching to the choir.

That said I hope they do go down this route because their ideas are shiatty and bad for America.

2012-11-29 10:20:26 AM
If it was a fact-checking site that concentrated on debunking liberal lies or half-truths, that would be fine. However, I think we all knew it would have bullshiat like this:

To have any semblance of fairness, PolitiFact should play it 50/50 and present an equal number of lies from both sides.

That idea should be beaten to death with a hammer.

2012-11-29 10:20:54 AM
This is satire, right? This is not a real website. I think you're all being trolled.

"It's seemed that not a single liberal media article referencing this quote is complete without mentioning studies that 25,000 - 50,000 adults die prematurely each year due to a lack of health insurance.

25,000 to 50,000. Are those numbers accurate? Perhaps.

But, remember: there are some 206 million adults living in the United States (source: Wikipedia).

This means that each year, only one in four thousand adults will die prematurely as the result of a lack of health insurance. That's statistically insignificant."

2012-11-29 10:21:40 AM
OMG FTFC:

"Oh and BTW - why don't you ask politicfact to fact check this: All people are required to be "chipped" in the healthcare law. You know like animals. Starts with the kiddies! Oh and it's just to hold your medical records. I suppose BOcare can't afford their own data system so they must chip us? Sounding like a bad movie now. Enjoy it, YOU ordered this nonsense. You are about to receive."

hurling derp at it's finest, ladies and gentlemen!

I clicked on the link about NOAA. It held this gem:

"Average" can mean many things.

And here's the really amazing thing. I actually managed to get stupider from there. I swear I am not making this up. That was the most intelligent thing on that page. Everything else managed to be dumber. It was like some transcendence of ordinary, everyday stupidity. We're talking some ethereal realm of moronitude and idiocy unlike anything I've ever seen. It was like some kind of weird anti-knowledge, that if it came into contact with the knowledge of our universe would explode in a flash of gamma rays. I'm actually a little in awe of it.
