Are we seeing this in real time?

That's pretty neat. I'd be interested to see if atmospheric pressure affects the formations.

We've working with several versions of this and the behavior seems to be reproducible from day to day, although I'll admit to not tracking the atmospheric pressure.

A GIS on making your own ferrofluid yields several different approaches, from mixing magnetic ink and oil to more involved procedures.

I don't think it acted bizarre, seems to me it acted exactly as one might expect. Now if it reacted by becoming self aware or changing color or physical state like changing into a vapor...that would be unexpected and or bizarre.

They should totally make a movie based on a killer robot made of this ferrofluid stuff. It would be impossible to shoot traditional guns at it, since the bullets would go right through.

Unless you hit the sentient computer module and magnets hidden in it's groin, or something.

No, no, no, no. You gotta listen to the way people talk. You don't say "that's a nice bike," or some shiat like that. You say "no problemo." And if someone comes on to you with an attitude you say "eat me." And if you want to shine them on it's "hasta la vista, baby."

1) Yup...about six monts, so it's right on time for showing this again, even if it is pretty cool.

2) And a 'WTG' for Modguy.

Subby's next Fark submission headline: Tilt-shift photography, which uses physical or digital selective focus techniques, shows cities and people in an awesomely bizarre way

That sounds cool. Do you know where I can see video of that? Do the cities look like space colonies or something?

Just because subby and the mod are on the same drugs doesn't mean this shiat should keep getting greenlit over and over...
