They're not doing it for money, or for fame, or even for the attention. They're desperately trying to make themselves match on the outside, what the picture they have of themselves is on the inside. The boobs aren't big enough, the nose isn't pointy enough, the hair isn't blonde enough, the butt isn't big enough, the face isn't taut enough....it'll never be "enough."

I heard a theory that we're seeing more Japanese women with large breasts now because the Japanese diet has changed to include more protein and dairy, infused with tons of hormones. I have no idea if that's plausible or not.

Possible. Might also be simply getting more meat and dairy (additional protein allowing for more growth), inter-mixing of Asian with other races passing on genetics for larger breasts, or a period of recessive large breast genes becoming more dominant.
