In answer to the original question:

Nope.

I once received a nice invitation to enter a songwriter's contest.
It was a good thing at first, but when I read who the judges were, and saw Yoko Ono was on the panel, I replied that they were "crazy to assume any artist would subject themselve to that sort of humiliation. We don't mind direction and even rejection by our peers, but that woman is bat shait insane, and NOT a musician, nor is she worth to judge one".

It was kind of that particular institution never to bother me again.

Lot of assholes out there. People will suck up to money like fly to shait.

Kevin72: Kevin72: Badgers: styckx: She's still alive?

She's 79. Can't be long now...

Japanese. World's highest life expectancy. Life goes on, bra. Lala how li-life goes on.

Now #3 behind Monaco and Macau. Japan at 83.91 male/female combined.

Is that before or after they discovered that many of the alleged Japanese centenarians have been dead for years while their families carried on collecting social security? I suspect that's going to drag the average down.

/Dead for ages, honestly

TheJoe03: Yoko Ono is the definition of a hack artist.

This. She has never produced anything of merit.

Dear Yoko Ono,

Those hand-groin pants were dumb when Anthony Kiedis wore them twenty years ago, and they're still dumb now, not to mention the fact that this means they're not an original idea, either.

No, but I googled them and found them here. (possibly NSFW)

Great, now I want to know how they feel to wear...

fusillade762: I seem to recall a movie where some company tried to sell assless pants, but I can't remember what it was called. And googling for "assless pants movie" brings up nothing but "Magic Mike" links.

Anyone?

Dwight_Yeast: MaudlinMutantMollusk: If you're ever feeling particularly masochistic, seek out Don't Worry Kyoko (Mommy's Only Looking For A Hand In the Snow) and try listening to it. That was the B side of the Ballad of John And Yoko 45. They actually got money for that

Incorrect. B-side of the Beatles single "The Ballad of John and Yoko" is "Old Brown Shoe", a really overlooked George Harrison boogie.

"Don't Worry Kyoko" is the B-side of "Cold Turkey", a John solo song.

There was one utterly bizarre Beatles B-side: You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) was released as the B-side to "Let it be". It's a John Lennon "song" which was basically put out as a fark you to Paul; because the A-side was a Paul song, Lennon got to choose the B-side, and offered this piece that he'd been recording (off and on) since 1967, before he met Yoko.

Absolutely. "You Know My Name..." is truly John's big middle finger. It seems like every time I've seen the "song" written about, proper writers struggle to find a way to say this, referring to it instead as "avant-garde" or "experimental".

Like Ann Coulter, the only way to make Yoko go away is to STOP TALKING ABOUT HER.

years ago I worked at a college radio station. I was doing the graveyard shift and played something from a Yoko album that was in rotation. After it was over I made the comment "I wish someone would put her out of her misery". Some drunk called and said "That attitude is what got John Lennon killed". Not sure whether he actually liked the song or not. It was crap and I never played anything by her again.
