I think it would be more for the Kubrick fan in your life, as SKing probably had very little do with the selection of the carpet in that screen

And Stephen King fans by definition have sh*t taste, so I doubt they'd appreciate this awesome hat.

Just kidding!

The article of Kate Middleton's new hair cut was more interesting than this one.

I thought you young pukes had an aversion to carpet - and the front entrance in general?

Subby, go watch re-runs of 'queer eye for the straight guy' and calm down.

Wouldn't that be Kubricks The Shining?

Hell Stanley couldn't even get the color of the VW right.

Man. That would be an awesome present for the girlfriend (it's one of our favorite movies to watch together). Still, that's a bit of a steep price : /

That carpet is solid glory. Deal with it.

Roy Walker designed that carpet.

although now i want to watch the shining again. its been a really, really, REALLY long time and i don't even think i remember most of it

I would be impressed if someone had a wedding with that carpet as the central color scheme/theme.

Hell, a wedding with Kubrick's The Shining as the theme would be hilarious.

compared to other forms of 70's styling, it's timeless and sophisticated.

think about it, among burnt orange shag carpet, avocado colored kitchens, wallpaper made from twigs and grasscloth, totally mirrored walls, and the Pontiac Transam, this *Shining* style carpet is perhaps the only thing from the decade that doesn't immediately make one cringe.

I like it, but you're talking almost $70 by the time you factor in shipping and currency exchange. That's way too much for a knit cap.

CSB story time

I was in Montreal about 11 years ago for work. A bunch of us were going out barhopping pne night and as we walked down the long hallway, with ugly carpeting, of the hotel to get to the elevator. One my friends commented on how it reminded him of The Shining. He no sooner said that when a little boy about 4 or 5 years old jumped out at the end of the hall and did like a "Raawwr!" at us. My friend, who is a big guy, threw hs hands up and screamed like a biatch. It was the funniest thing I had seen in a long time. I still get a good chuckle when I think about it.

The problem would be that the best man wouldn't show up until the middle of the wedding and then the groom would hit him in the chest with a fire ax.

/that could actually be awesome.

That might be one of the stupidest things I've ever sat through. Honestly. The last time I saw historical events misconstrued in such a ridiculous and biased manner was my last trip to the Politics tab.
