First of all, "prayerfully considering" is a pun that should be against the law. Second, if you're "prayerfully considering" anything having to do with serving in a public office, please do us all a favor and punch yourself in the dick instead.

The leading conservative blogger told his radio audience that he is "prayerfully considering" a primary challenge to Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) in 2014.

Follow-up: Democrat elected Senator in Georgia.

2012-11-28 12:48:03 PM
FTFA: Activists on the right sense blood in the water around Chambliss, especially after he denounced Grover Norquist's anti-tax pledge this week, saying "I care more about my country than I do about a 20-year-old pledge."

I think the time is right for a referendum testing whether voters want Norquist to be in charge of Congress anymore.

Worst case, melissa is right:

sweetmelissa31: Follow-up: Democrat elected Senator in Georgia.

"saxby chambliss pledged never to vote in favor of raising taxes...BUT HE BROKE THAT PLEDGE."
*slow panning shot of chambliss pledging alegiance*
"what other pledges has senator chambliss broken."
*black and white shot of nazis marching, with chambliss's face in the top-right corner smiling and nodding*
"vote for this redstate douchebag instead."
"i'm redstate douchebag and i approve this message."

So it looks like the crazy right of the Republican Party is really going forward with this whole notion that they failed to take the Presidency or the Senate because they didn't go far enough to the right.

Hello, supermajority.

The guy's not the founder of RedState, he's the asshole who was put in charge of it after Eagle Publishing bought it out. It was founded by Mike Krempasky, Josh Trevino, and Ben Domenech. It also used to be fairly sane, even going so far as to work with DailyKos on a few specific issues, and overall wasn't too bad. Now it's just another site full of derp, a glossied version of Free Republic.

yep and it will help Mary Landrieu here in LA too.

holly crap, just found out her middle name is "Loretta".

Oh, get lost. I know when conservatives say shiat like they are "prayerfully considering" a run for office that it is supposed to sound all humble and pious. But suggesting that you are conferencing with the creator of space and time about whether not not you ought to hold great power is pretty goddamned self-aggrandizing when you think about it, isn't it?

I'm just trying to understand how his approach differs significantly from GOP standard operating procedure.
