Speed up The Price Is Right failhorns 800 percent and throw a bunch of percussion equipment down a flight of stairs and you have have a pretty good approximation of what my first  band "The Unbathed" sounded like.

2012-11-28 11:18:30 AM
That is pretty cool.

Ummm...

Slowing something down 100% would be a full stop. 800% would be... I dunno.

Or did you mean slow it down to 1/8 of its original speed? Because that would be a reduction of 87.5 percent.

Since light travels faster than sound, people appear bright Until you hear them speak.

P.S. the F-stops here!

Yeah, well, here's 10 minutes of the losing horns. So there.

It's washing over me. It's happy time underwater children. Just lay your heads in the surf. As the sounds from the carnival on the pier trickle into your rapidly fading consciousness.

I started listening to this, but then my entire world slowed down by 800% and now I'm moving backwards through times at 7x normal speed.

This was a biatch to type and post at the proper moment.

2012-11-28 02:12:43 PM
Wow, when it's that slowed down, you can really hear how badly out-of-tune the orchestra is.

The math irritated me, too, but I knew what they were inferring. I regret nothing.

would slowing down 800% be playing it in reverse sped up 700%?

I feel like this should be the background music on one of Neil deGrasse Tyson's new COSMOS shows.

Thank you for saying what was on my mind. Though my guess was going to be backwards at 7x speed, which would probably be even trippier.

It's like the part of Godspeed You! Black Emperor where they aren't rocking out. Seriously, just put some Spy Numbers and a televangelist on a loop in the background and you're halfway there.

That was nice and everything, but I kind of expected slow motion video of well -endowed female contestants leaping to their feet and running down the aisles.

Even original size it was acting weird. Now it's normal. *shrug* Maybe it was tripping due to the TPIR potential dubstep remix.

Can you *imagine* dropping the base on that song?
