Hey cheap date night tix!

I like how they throw in some garbage that isn't worth anything so you're actually spending more than the tickets would cost. But I really want that Bradley Beal jersey shirt!

FTFGroupon: Watching an athlete succeed is supremely satisfying, though curiously, so is watching a dam fail. Feel the rush with this GrouponLive deal to see the Washington Wizards hit the hardwood at the Verizon Center.

EPIC LULZ

That's almost as bad as the local AHL team here in Connecticut that regularly offers "Buy one ticket get the entire section free" sales.

I like to laugh at winless NBA teams as much as the next guy, but what's the fail here? They've sold over a hundred at $69-$99, which means 100 less tickets that won't be on StubHub for $1.75.

I'm going to cry when the Wizards get their first win over the Blazers tonight.

I wish there was a seat that cheap in my town. Hard to go see the Mavs, Cowboys, or Rangers for cheap anymore. You used to be able to get into Stars games for sorta cheap but they're on strike.

There's always Minor League Baseball I guess.

Upper-level tickets for basketball makes it tough to see what's going on. But that is doubly so at the Verizon Center. The seats are so high up and at a steep angle that you're almost looking straight down at the court rather than at an angle. I have stopped attending concerts and sporting events at the Verizon Center if the seats are "upstairs" -- even for $5 tickets.

On the flipside, the arena did an amazing job rejuvenating an abandoned part of the city, and all paid for by Abe Pollin rather than the taxpayers.

Since October 11, DC teams have won 2 home games.

I remember their peak when they were knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by LeBron and the Cavs every year. The glory years.

/great series

Yep.

Alternatively, the Nationals have won as many games since September 28 as the rest of DC's teams combined.

Actually the wife and I went out to the Wizards game this weekend, made a whole night of it, but I left the tickets on the dashboard and while we were in the restaurant someone broke into the car and left three more Wizards tickets...

Wouldn't you have had to be on top of something to fall?

at this point - why not just give the tickets away ? at least it'd look better on camera. there are several arenas around the league with that tiny of attendance: N.O. & Charlotte come to mind.

not sure what it says about my town though - other than we even support losers as long as they try.

see: Portland, Timbers

Fark party when the Wizards tickets are down to a quarter.

Didn't know you were local to me! Another DFW farker on the list... It lets me keep track of everyone around here so I can actually have warning of an apocalypse if you all go quiet one day and I'm still holed up in my office...

Once the NHL is in gear again and the Stars are back, though, we've got Jim Lites as president again so cheap seats galore until attendance numbers are back to probably 2007 levels again.

They cropped Bullets because they didn't like the association with crime. In that case they should have kept Bullets and dropped Washington

The other day I was behind a car with a Washington Bullets bumper sticker. I sort of wanted one... and a Colt 45's sticker.

If you paid $1.75 on Stubhub, you got ripped off. They were as low as .39 a couple weeks ago.
