It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the tea of green that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Will green tea expand my life and allow me to fold space?

Feels pretty good. Green tea. Orange Pekoe. Oolong. English Breakfast. Mint.

No idea where I got all this crap but it's working out OK for me. The mint is very relaxing. If I have a mug or two late at night, it puts me right out.

Lost Thought 00: Green Tea might have some good properties when it's fresh, but by the time you get your hands on it and it's gone through 12 different processing plants and warehouses, most of the beneficial stuff is gone because all of it is in the volatile oils.

I love all tea. Flavored black tea, herbals, and green tea are my favorite especially flavored green. There are definitely health benefits has to be consumed in large quantities.

I don't add any sugar to my tea and when I drink black tea, I only put a little bit of unsweetened almond milk. Once you start omitting the sugar you won't miss it; I promise.

I really, really hate the notion that Jager is stronger than whatever else. It's a tasty liqueur (well, if you like licorice), and not much more. 70 proof and sweetened. It will actually fark you up LESS than whiskey or any other serious hard liquor, which is always gonna be 80 proof or higher. A lot of gins and some rums are made at 92 or 94 proof, which is the traditional navy proof, for reasons I won't go into here. You want to really get farked up on licorice flavored whatever? Try asbinthe,or pernod, the version without wormwood from when our government went nuts thinking that the trace amounts of thujone somehow made a difference- they don't. Often bottled at ridiculous strengths, though you're supposed to water and sugar it down to your preferred strength and sweetness. But we're talking about a product routinely bottled at around 75% ABV (more than twice the strength of jager)- if you wanted to get really hammered, it wouldn't be a chore.

The whole frat boy myth that Jager is some super strong whatever liquor is just crap. It's stronger than some of the other liqueurs you find drunk at parties (a lot of people seem to buy schapps or whatever not noticing they're only 15% ABV, which is 30 proof, and thinking they're serious spirits), but although you may think you're being a big stud by doing two shots of Jager, that guy sipping a good old gin martini is drinking more alcohol than you are. And it is just the alcohol- there aren't any magic drugs or compounds in Jager that will do anything out of the ordinary to you- it's just the ethanol. Though the sugar might give you a high.

There is a huge difference between green tea from a bottle, green tea from supermarket tea bags, and loose-leaf green tea from an international (preferably asian) grocery store.

180 degrees, 90 seconds. Add lemon and small amounts of sugar or honey.

You...

I ..

I can't even figure out where to begin with this.

You seem to be having a serious frat-boy rage problem. I am not it.

Alcohol is pretty much alcohol, except when you start adding a lot of stuff to it that makes your body deal with it differently. I never said otherwise.

Jeager has a (well earned, IMHO) reputation for turning the politest of drinkers into slobbering smacktards.

Tequila does the same thing to some people. I just picked jeager because it has that reputation.

Don't quote me and start your "Lesson to the teenagers" speech as if I need the lesson. I'm pretty sure I've drank more Captain than you have looked at. I've worked in bars for over a decade, and I'm not an idiot when it comes to drinking.

Yes, there are some people deserving of that little speech you just gave, but I'm not them so back the hell off.

Shadow Blasko: Jeager has a (well earned, IMHO) reputation for turning the politest of drinkers into slobbering smacktards.

Yeah, and that's still utter bullshiat. It's the ethanol, nothing else. Whiskey has the exact same effects physiologically, if you drink an amount with an equivalent amount of ethanol. Or gin. Or vodka. Or beer. There is nothing special about tequila or Jager- it doesn't make you any more wild or whatever than say, rum. You may be getting a bias in your sample where people who want to act that way believe the myth and so choose to drink those things when they want to act that way, but the spirit itself doesn't have anything to do with it. The idea that one spirit has a different effect than another is frat boy science, and deserving of scorn.

Shadow Blasko: QUICK! What proof is say... Captain Morgan?

Not the best example. Captain Morgan is watered down crap priced way higher than it should be to swindle you out of your money- very few straight spirits are bottled at a proof that low. Similar to Jack Daniels, which is is a much shiatter product than just about anything else in its price range. Just about every other rum out there is 80 proof or better- The Barbancourt I've got around right now is 83, Kraken 94, the Cruzan I have for mixing is 80. That's it on the rum, but here are a few gins: Gordons: 80. Brokers: 94. Death's Door: 94. Whiskey? Evan Williams: 86. Teacher's Scotch: 86. Black Bottle Scotch: 80. Eagle Rare: 90. Jim Beam Red Stag (somebody brought it to a party, don't judge me): 80. I have a few more things lying around I could read off, but you get the point. Captain Morgan ain't good liquor.

Protip: if a spirit is spending a massive amount of money on advertizing, you're paying for the ads and not the spirit when you buy the stuff.
