See, that's what I don't like about these cooking shows - it's always fancy stuff made from exotic ingredients your average microwave owner is never going to find at their local grocery store.

Watching that, I could swear I heard Andrew "Dice" Clay in the back saying "What a Jerk off"

The headline made me think he might stick that can of chili in the microwave. I'm a bit disappointed now.

His spaghetti video is my favorite because he takes longer preparing it in the microwave than you even would on a stove.

2012-11-27 05:22:02 PM
This has to be a joke.  Anyone here from the Weber State area know if this is real?  It can't be...

For some reason this video has me giggling like a child, especially the slow close-up at the end. Thanks subby, now my wife thinks I'm a moron.

p.s .- I really am a moron

I loved it! The long shot of a microwave microwaving, trying to open the bag of chips, the half-mixed final product, a wrinkled dress shirt that doesn't fit, a tie that was tied by someone else...

The one thing I truly miss about having cable TV is the horribly awkward local access shows. Man, these are gems.

With a lot really vague instructions and technical terms that only a professional cook can understand. Not all of us when to a cooking school where they teach how to open bags and operate microwave ovens. And he did not even explain the device he used to open that metal container, is it some kind of miniature blow torch?

No way this is real. Real as in, meant to be seen by anyone. At best this was just a trial run for an actual cooking segment but they needed to do something to test out everything in the studio. It's either that....or I don't want to live anymore.

That looks remarkably tasty, even if a chore to prepare, but it's no Frito® Pie with Wolf® brand chili.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: Uh... shouldn't you put the cheese and chili in a bowl BEFORE you put it in the microwave?

His final result was a bowl with 1side chili and the other side cheese and they were only slightly mixed. A given dip-worth could be one, the other, or a combination.

If you arranged the ingredients in the bowl before nuking them I could well imagine the cheese sauce, as being lighter, to form a slick on top of the chili.

An awkward 3 minute video to show how to make a recipe that's shorter than this sentence. Priceless.

Thank you. I swapped out the video and used yours. Hopefully it won't be taken down too.
