I like that it was some 50-ish asshole who was trying to steal from a kid, and the dirtbag gets national recognition now.

He saved him twice? Even Spiderman only gives people one.

Maybe he saved someone else.

Martellus Bennett just got a HUGE boost in my book for not going with some generic superhero like Spider Man, Batman, or god forbid, Superman. The fact that he named the identity of an admittedly popular, but not really "mainstream" hero demonstrates Chris Kluwe levels of geek cultural awareness, something you don't frequently see in a pro athlete publicly.

I don't watch football, but i have to give him props for it too. I know it's not popular, but Cyclops has always been my favorite Xman (well, not the post-90s crazy, cheating version of him, but whatever).

Is Cyclops actually "popular"? I wasn't aware anybody actually liked him. He's like the Al Gore of the X-men.

Popular in the sense that you won't have an X-Men game/movie/toy line/tv show without him being featured. Maybe popular is the wrong word- how about "recognizable"?

Also, he never even mentioned Cyclops- he called out his "real life" identity. Nerd cred=max.
