Headline should read: Bloggers, "journalists", and sports media are dumb enough to run with stories based on a random guy's Facebook post.

To go with the theme of headline fail, the guy didn't tell a reporter specifically. He posted it on his own Facebook page.

Came here to say this. The media is so wrapped up in getting "beat" on a story, they often fail to actually check and see if it's legit. Our local news teams tweet random "ALERTS" all the time that turn out to be nothing.

I know a guy from Richmond who would be a great fit. EKU alum. He has Big Ten head coaching experience! That's like Nick Saban!

Wow, this headline could not be farther from reality.

The man, who apparently has heard of the internet, posted some BS on Facebook, and some dumbshiat radio people thought that was news. The funny part is the man was the one who apologized, not the dumbshiat radio people who are getting their news from random Facebook posts.

I agree. Where's the confirmation before they print the stuff. It's hilarious that it went viral like that.
