According to many style guides (including Chicago and AP), "all right" is technically the correct way to write the term--"alright" is considered a colloquialism.

What's wrong with that?

If you mean "Shouldn't that be 'alright'?" then you are dead wrong. 'Alright' has never been anything other than a non-standard variant - in other words, incorrect.

/got up on the wrong side this morning.
