I for one, welcome the export of our Canadian overlords.

The more the merrier. Every body must go!

I am two removes from Mark Carney in the Six Degrees Game. My boss used to work with him before he became the Governor of the Bank of Canada.

This is, by the way, the first time a non-British citizen has become Governor of the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street (the Bank of England).

Robert Bonar Law, a Canadian politician who was a protégé of Press Baron, Lord Beaverbrook was the first Canadian Prime Minister of Great Britain (and the first non-British born Prime Minister).

Chester A. Arthur was, some continue to believe based on election propaganda, the first Canadian-born President of the United States (he didn't cheat--the border was just a bit fuzzy at the time he was born).

And, of course, Barrack "Hussein Saddam" Obama is secretly both the Prime Minister of Canada and the President of the United States of America. The terrorists won long ago, my American chum-ps! Long, long ago. Before Bush, even.

It's a happy and proud day for Canadians and we can now hope to extradite the Minister of Finance, Jim Flaherty back to the Republic of Eire. All we have to do is gag him and stuff him in a sack of PEI potatoes, and drop him off at the International Airport. I assume they have an International Airport in Ireland. Iowa does.

"In an article this month, Mrs Carney said that income inequality in countries such as Canada and Britain was "the defining issue of our time".

I would be giddy if more bankers wives were talking about that.

That part I have no problem with. It's the 1.5 million dollar house and the fact her hubby has a very high income that triggers my hypocrite alarm.

Carney is a good man, with very good ideas. If Britain buys in, the world will be a better place.... Europe may even start paying attention.

I know a few people who've worked with or close to Carney, every one of them have made a comment about how smart he is.

He should do good things for the Brits.

shiat. Canada needs him. The Tories are idiots but Carney is quite possibly an indispensable genius. Losing him should be a sort of paragon example of Canada's brain drain.
