For some reason, this headline has made me crave Buffalo Wild Wings. In the car I go...

Miami's version of the famed NE Patriots snowplow play-shut down the Seattle running game.

It's okay, guys.

The Miami Dolphins are used to fail like this. They have been since the early 80s.

It was all part of our plan to get in Russell Wilson's head.

Today's spray of the day, sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings.

I'm so sure this was just "accidental". A previous career, a lifetime ago, in groundskeeping, and we NEVER had this happen.

As a Pats fan in South Florida, I hear the "snowplow" butthurt all the time. Then I kindly remind Dolphans that when I was growing up here, the Pats could never, never beat the Marino-fish, and all I ever got was vicious hatred towards the Pats that was completely unfounded.

Now Dolphins fans hate the Pats because they are good. So which one is it then? You can't have it both ways, retards.

In any event, I had a few friends that went to the game today, and the reaction to the sprinkler incident in the stadium was supposedly quite a laugh-fest.

You have to keep dolphin's skin moist.

Just curious, is there a penalty for this? I just learned a few weeks ago that "excessive crowd noise" is a 5-yard penalty in the NFL.

this would be a funny concept for a TV commercial.

Maybe like a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial?

There used to be, but it's apparently no longer a rule. Otherwise teams like Seattle would be penalized constantly.

You would think a little water would help the Seahawks, but they still managed to lose on the road again. *sigh*

/I wonder how much the fine will be tomorrow after Carroll's comments on the officials.
//Sorry, Pete, but you can't complain about the calls, especially this season.

I actually don't get that... In theory, teams could pump the loud speakers to play crowd noise (in before Vikings). Or would that fall under unsportsmanlike conduct?

Earl Thomas is still wondering how the sprinklers came on and how you are supposed to stop your body mid air and not touch a qb.

I remember seeing an article somewhere about the Seahawks playing crowd noise through the PA.

Miami - You're doing it wrong Meanwhile, in Liverpool

What impressed me was all of the Miami players and staff pointing this error out to some anonymous person in the sidelines.
"Yeah - I made them turn off the sprinklers - they didn't notice, but I pointed it out, and made them correct this mistake!"

I seem to remember several years ago (10 maybe?) that a home team was charged a time out because their crown was too loud for the visiting team's offense to hear the play call.

Buffalo Wild Wings? Has anyone who actually likes that place ever eaten *good* bar food? Overcooked, overbreaded and underspiced are not qualities of good bar food.

Sure you can - it was pretty clear they didn't want the Dolphins being mad that Sherman and Browner got to play this game despite apparently having tested positive for Adderall (they announced the suspensions after the game). So they hooked 'em up with a 10 penalties to 1 advantage (not counting the second one because all that did was help the Dolphins stop the clock in a drive where they had only one timeout and less than two minutes to go). And that one was a holding so obvious that at least eight people were yelling HOLD HOLD HOLD loud enough that you could hear it on the broadcast, so they belatedly threw one.

/Pete's still responsible for not trying to kick any FGs despite being in FG range several times.
//the defense is best on a short field - for some reason they're way worse on third and long and when they pin the opposing offense back

bills and chiefs fans would get this called during the early 90s.

Well, clearly this is deserving of "Comment of the Year" consideration.
