(WCAX Vermont)   "Jo Jo is not an experienced hunter and is not familiar with the area. He was not carrying a cell phone nor radio and he did not have a firearm while hunting". Oh. Did we mention he is six years old?   (wcax.com) divider line 7

Sunderland, Vt. -

A happy ending to the search for a missing boy in Bennington County.

Joseph "Jo Jo" McCray, of Arlington, was located alive and well by a ground search team around 9:30 Sunday morning.

Jo Jo is a kid who thought he was a hunter, but we knew this wouldn't last.

Jo Jo left a home - t'was in the Land of Sunder - and they found him in the grass.

Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

Get back, Jo Jo. Go home.

Mock26: I started "hunting" with my dad when I was about 8 years old. I carried a .22 rifle, but no bullets. I was not there to shoot. I was there to learn how to move through the woods, how to properly carry a rifle, and how to clean animals after my dad shot them. It was a ton of fun!

I should point out that I was not allowed to go off on my own!

You decide that taking a 6 yo hunting is a fantastic idea then don't pay him any attention and he gets lost?

That some mighty fine parenting right there folks!

Six is too young to allow to go by themselves in the woods. Especially during hunting season while wearing camafloge.

Lucky he wast shot by another hunter by mistake.
