Tory students at Oxford claim they are being persecuted and are demanding the same equal rights as gays, the disabled and ethnic minorities.

You might want to ask Matthew Shepard, Francecca Pilkington, and James Byrd, Jr. about their experiences before demanding equal treatment. Unfortunately, they can't answer.

Apparently, these folks feel that being called a douchebag for being a douchebag should be protected.

The right to free speech is that people are free to call you on your bullsh*t...

Does anyone really want Courtney Love to have children?

Secondly; the only group that it is ok to be racist toward are single, 20-40 year old white guys.

And fat people; but not so much anymore.

As a 30 year old white male who is not overweight, I can confirm that this is accurate.

And completely fair, white people suck and men are the worst.

I don't support their positions and "The initiative came after the Tories were taunted by rival students from other parties as they watched the U.S. presidential elections on television in the JCR The paper says they were called 'haters of gays' and 'rape apologists.'" doesn't make me shed many tears for them.

On a lighter note, David Cameron (UK PM) and Boris Johnson (Mayor of London, possible future Tory leader) really enjoyed their time at Oxford, being members of the Bullingdon Club.

Yep, the left wing indoctrination camps get all huffy when dissidents speak up. Gotta have ideological purity when studying such useful things like comparative literature studies, wymen enpowerment seminars and the like....

Leftwing academia is cutting its own throat. Practical, productive people will avoid colleges and set up their own, and leave the tired old Marxists to eat themselves up.

White men are born (on average) with more wealth and given (on average) more advantages.

Google isn't finding me the exact words. But Chicago columnist Mike Royko once wrote something to the effect of, "You don't pick a fight with the little guy. You pick a fight with the big guy."

After the rhetoric and innuendo tossed around by the awful right wing here in America during the election cycle, well, I can't raise any sympathy for the Conservative set. Soon enough, they'll die off and be outbred.

We're so sorry that we prefer equality, intelligence, and to treat everyone as human beings and American citizens, while also pointing out and mocking those like you who are against the idea of being a good person.

We conservatives prefer real equality, where everybody is equal under the law, without the diversity crap where *some* are treated as special protected classes with racial favoritism.

We prefer *actual* intelligence, not the leftist social engineering that passes for actual academic work nowadays.

We prefer free markets that actually produce prosperity for all, not redistribution schemes that make everyone equally poor.

We prefer smaller government that doesn't crush everyone's freedom to live their lives the way they want.

Communism/socialism simply DOES NOT work, no matter how much as the academic airheads wish it would.

These academic airheads simply will not accept the reality that their cherished theories on how society SHOULD work have been thoroughly discredited by history, yet they try, oh how they try, to push this crap on the rest of us.

The free market will work as always, and alternatives to our present left wing indoctrination factories will form in time.

Still doesn't make racism toward 20-40 year old single white guys acceptable.

You'd probably agree that P-diddy's children have grown up with every advantage in the book; it's still unexceptable to be racist towards them. Generalizations are bull shiat. There is no "average", there is no "normal".

That's the emotional argument but I believe it was Foucault who said the easiest ways to silence opposing opinions is to mock the other groups beliefs.

Those cases are by people who were not even considered right so its a poor analogy. I'm amazed how many people go along while questioning nothing.

Nice soundbite, but what does it actually mean?

We prefer free markets that actually produce prosperity for all, not redistribution schemes that make everyone equally poor.

Communism doesn't work, that's true.

We prefer smaller government that doesn't crush everyone's freedom to live their lives the way they want.

Does that mean you think homosexuals should be allowed to marry? Adopt?

Communism/socialism simply DOES NOT work, no matter how much as the academic airheads wish it would.

While it is true that communism does not work, socialism works very well. At least the way it's been implemented in northern Europe. That's why the northern european countries are at the top of all the charts that matter.

These academic airheads simply will not accept the reality that their cherished theories on how society SHOULD work have been thoroughly discredited by history, yet they try, oh how they try, to push this crap on the rest of us.

The free market will work as always, and alternatives to our present left wing indoctrination factories will form in time.

They prefer competent recitation of dogma over "research".

This is true, but there are degrees. Racism against minorities results in things like "White people in makeup playing minorities in TV and film". Racism against white people results in "Mildly annoyed white people, and spittle-flecked Fox News stories".

Don't bring up some bullshiat about affirmative action! Don't do it! It's a trap!

Sorry, are you trying to diss a university that's been teaching since the 12th century, one of the worlds elite universities, as a "left wing indoctrination camp"? A left wing indoctrination camp that produced much of the UK's Tory government?

Well, if that's the way your country is governed, where weaker candidates for posts are promoted ahead of better candidates based on skin colour, that's a sad state of affairs.

Who chooses the candidates for public office in your country?

We prefer *actual* intelligence, not the leftist social engineering that passes for actual academic work nowadays.

Please provide examples. Based on your rhetoric I'm guessing you hate the libtard Darwin and how much he's crushed your freeeedumz!!!!!

We prefer smaller government that doesn't crush everyone's freedom to live their lives the way they want.

Communism/socialism simply DOES NOT work, no matter how much as the academic airheads wish it would.

So how would you describe the European Union?

My gut tells me that you'd call it socialist.

It has a shiatload of bureaucracy. Most member states have a taxpayer funded healthcare system.

And the EU is also the largest economy in the world.

Don't be surprised. When I was backing up a claim with a news article, my dad said, without a hint of irony, that a Pulitzer prize was a "badge of shame" for any "unbiased" publication. This is not a made-up story, an embellishment to prove a point, this literally happened not three months ago. The brainwashing, particularly the absolute demonization of opposing viewpoints (and academia in general), runs deep on the Right.

It's a really funny aspect of politics in the US. There is no left wing, yet the Republicans appeal to the poorly educated by claiming that the Democratic party is an evil bunch of socialists and anyone who dares edumacate themselves is an elitist.
