Yeah...I remember when he was going to declare martial law and suspend the elections to stay in power because there was NO WAY HE COULD POSSIBLY WIN.

How did that prediction turn out wingnuts?

Yeah, and Bush was going to declare martial law to stay in office in 2008.

What's funny is that while Porter Stansberry seems crazy - he's mainly trying to shovel people who read his investment newsletter in the direction he needs them to go so he can make some short term money. Glenn Beck is far crazier for no good reason at all.

2012-11-24 03:29:34 PM
What third term? The GOP is probably going to impeach him for the Benghazi "scandal" and even if Obama isn't removed he'll be so shamed he won't bother running again. Or something.

I'm of the opinion (and I could be wrong) that if Glenn Beck was acting crazy because of money he would have toned it down to keep his Fox show - you know, keep the money train going. Instead, I think he's just crazy and he keeps managing to figure out ways to make money from it, not the other way around.

Oh, that was only if he lost. He avoided that unpleasantness by sending black people to Maine to turn that deep red state to blue, giving him the critical 4 EVs he needed to win.

Stansberry predicts that a looming oil boom will shift America's economy into hyperdrive, despite all the nasty socialist roadblocks Obama throws in its way. Obama will use this newfound wealth to fund "his friends in Cuba" and to buy the votes of millions with nothing to do but live on the petro-dole.

What this is, I don't even.

If you want all the details of Obama's oil-powered destiny, check here, but before you get too tempted to print those Obama / Calculon 3012 bumperstickers, you might want to know that the SEC previously filed charges against Stansberry for "a scheme to defraud public investors by disseminating false information in several Internet newsletters."

While I would love it if Obama could be President for more than 8 years, it can't happen, and therefore it won't happen. Why worry about something occurring that literally has no chance of happening?

Well, technically it has a non-zero chance of happening. It involves passing a constitutional amendment in this congress, however.

/There's also a non-zero chance I'll win the Powerball jackpot while having sex with Christina Hendricks.

No, no you see he actually did, but his death grip on the media is complete, so it was kept hush hush. He has control over the FCC and he has threatened to pull the license of any news organization that tries to tell the truth. Of course, some people are telling the truth, but you have to know where to go to find it.

This one has been trotted out since Nixon was in office. No less a guru than Harlan Ellison was convinced Nixon was going to overturn the Constitution and set himself up as dictator-for-life before launching the nukes on Red China and the USSR. (see essay in "The Glass Teat" if you can find it) Then we got the same drivel near the end of Bush Jr's second term.

I guess nobody thought Reagan would live that long, because I don't recall hearing tremors of terror about him.

Impeachment is part of his cunning plan! *cunning plan sound effect*

If he succeeds in getting impeached in the first two years of this term, he would be eligible to run again in 2016.
Meanwhile, Biden would be President and purging Republicans via fully armed and operational Death Panels.

There is, technically, an existing loophole. The Constitution says (emphasis mine):

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice

A party could pull a Gerald Ford and get someone into the presidency without them being elected as either pres or VP. You could argue this violates the spirit of the 22nd amendment, but then again justices like Scalia like to argue that the Constitution is extremely literal and not subject to interpretation.

He's never had a real job

How do Republicans keep repeating something like this that is complete lie?

Ok even if you were to somehow say a community organizer for a church group is not a real job. Humors for Republicans that working for a church is considered a "not real" job to them now.

He still was a farking lawyer. How is that not a "real job"?

His whole life has been jobs organizing people so people can make their own lives better. Something Republicans give a lot of lip service about but then seem to attack people when they actually do it. It shows a lot that Republicans don't consider any of that a "real job".

You know what's really fun? Explain to conservatives that Clinton was a more popular president than Reagan.

Overall 8-year averages
Ronald Reagan 52.8%
Bill Clinton 55.1%

Job Approval Highs
Ronald Reagan 68%
Bill Clinton 73%

Job Approval Lows
Ronald Reagan 35%
Bill Clinton 37%

he has his own internet channel and "school" thing going on. i think it's more likely that going on his own had more money than being tied down to foxnews.

they've been airing commercials for this guys garbage on both the conservative AM talk stations where i live for a couple years now.

at first i was thinking maybe it was only on during Art Bell or whatever but i heard it run doing the local guys and some other non-political shows too.

first time i heard it was like 'my goodness! that does sound dire!' in a mocking voice. then actually laughed out loud when the URL was given out as endofamerica**.com ... with the ** being a random 2-digit number that all manner of scammers use to track which markets are funneling them the most rubes to fleece.
