(Christian Broadcasting Network)   At Thanksgiving, I noticed my young in-laws are all addicted to salt. What could my father-in-law put in their salt shakers that will look like salt but not slowly poison them?   (cbn.com) divider line 7

HEAR THIS AMERICA! Jesus said "Salt is good." (Luke 14:34)The world says "Salt is bad." Who do you think is right? Years ago I read about the lie of the evils of salt from an offbeat doctor's newsletter. He said that the culprit in salt that raises blood pressure and causes other health problems is not the salt itself, but the chemical added to the salt to prevent caking. It is irrelevant whether it is sea salt or not. The added chemical is what causes the damage. I told 3 of my friends who had high blood pressure about what I heard. I know of only one place that sells salt without anything added: Trader Joe's. I'm not sure about the smaller containers of salt, but I do know that their larger container of sea salt lists only salt as the ingredient. No chemicals added. Even Whole Foods Market adds a chemical to their salt--including the sea salt. Anyway, my 3 friends asked me to buy Trader Joe's salt (without the additive) for them. After using the Trader Joe's salt without the chemical additive, 2 of my 3 friends had their blood pressure return to normal! The other friend probably had other reasons for his high blood pressure.
Job said "Can flavorless food be eaten without salt?" (Job 6:6) God gave us salt to make food taste good. To tell someone who loves salt to stop using salt based on the lie that it is bad for you is illogical. They're still going to eat it because they want flavor. The best thing to do is to educate them about the added chemical that raises blood pressure just for the convenience of preventing caking. (Remember, they can get good salt at Trader Joe's without the additive. But they have to get the big container of sea salt--and check the ingredients.) And somebody with great clout should demand that manufacturers remove the chemicals from our salt. Because it's killing millions of people.
By the way, some fellow named Kevin Trudeau claims that when you look at the ingredients in many packaged products, that the word "spices" is actually unidentified chemical additives that they don't want us to know about, but the FDA allows them to use the term spices, as long as they can get a payoff. The FDA is corrupt, just like the majority of other government organizations. Instead of doing their job of protecting our people from poisons, the FDA actually allows companies to poison us, as long as they can receive a bribe!
Okay, I sure hope someone will give this message to Pat Robertson. I'm signing off now.

Marcus Aurelius: kmmontandon: Marcus Aurelius:

Salt should not be served at the dinner table in any case. If a dish needs salt, the cook has failed.

Or just maybe there's more than one person at the same table, and they have different tastes.

Tough shiat. Go eat somewhere else.

You sound like a lonely, bitter old man who burns every single thing he cooks.
