Actually, (Damnit) Orton would have done just better enough to knock them out of the top 10 of next year's draft.

This was really supposed to be the Chiefs' year. Before the season, so many people had them had them pegged as a "sleeper" that they weren't even a sleeper. Then the actual season started.

oh_please: Actually, (Damnit) Orton would have done just better enough to knock them out of the top 10 of next year's draft.

Which would suck if there were a QB worth taking in the top 10 this year. It's just KC's luck historically. Not to mention in the past nine months they couldn't muster enough to get into the RGIII talks and they get snubbed by Peyton.

Name the mules Cassell and Quinn and it's dead on. All you have to do is watch what happened to Jacksonville last week when they got competent QB play to see how much that position makes or breaks a team in today's NFL.

Possibly; they played a close game with Houston, and losing to the Pats@ Foxboro isn't really a surprise.

Either way, I'll be pretty happy if we get postseason Manning v Brady, act...5?

No they still have their playoff ranking to play for. It'll still be fun to watch the Broncos clench their division after 11 games against the shiatstain chiefs, especially since more than a few experts picked kc to run away with the division this season.

The playoffs are nice if you're like Lions fans (or us Raider fans) who would gush over getting deservedly bounced as a six seed in the first round. The Broncos already had a decent defense and got Peyton as a 2-3 year solution to get them back to a Super Bowl. And while he can win the crumbling and rebuilding squads in the West all he accomplishes against better competition is losing by two touchdowns instead of four during the playoffs.

I...what? I don't really know what you're trying to say. I'm a Rams fan who's going to the Chiefs game tomorrow because I like football. I'd like to see Manning v Brady in the playoffs (and as such seeing two of the GOATs go head to head) because I like football.

More of an indictment of Broncos management for trying to entice the fans with a 2-3 measure that doesn't appear to have put them over the top and will mean when Manning leaves they'll be left with either an unproven Osweiler or spinning the wheel again on free agent roulette. Division titles are nice, but nobody remembers them if you flame out in the playoffs.

HA maybe that's how it works in KC but Denver is known for their fantastic treatment of guys who win them division titles. For example, Tim Tebow, who was run out of town immediately following his last trip to the playoffs....okay, bad example. How about Jake Plummer, who was benched the next season with his team still in playoff position? Oh, that's another bad example. Um...yeah. Never mind.

Broncos can NOT clinch this week.

Broncos are 7-3
Chargers are 4-6

Even if Broncos win AND Chargers lose, that puts Den 8-3 and San 4-7, meaning Den COULD finish 8-8 and San COULD finish 9-7.

They can clinch NEXT week.

In order to clinch, it has to be mathematically IMPOSSIBLE for any OTHER team to win the division.

Also, you need to LEARN which words to CAPITALIZE to add IMPACT in your sentences.

You DO know you spelled clinch wrong, right? On several occasions..

clench:
verb (used with object)
1. to close (the hands, teeth, etc.) tightly.
2. to grasp firmly; grip.

CLINCH:
verb (used with object)
1. to settle (a matter) decisively: After they clinched the deal they went out to celebrate.

/DAMN, I just schooled the DONKEY!

LOL at least my team WAS able to CLENCH the division early, instead OF sitting at 1-10. LOL plus who SAYS they even see houston in THE playoffs?

Ya know, sorta LIKE I watched the Broncos CLENCH the division last season, with Tebow AT qb. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL so that's your comeback? Where am I supposed to be mad again? I'm not the one watching a division rival clench another title while your team sits in last place. Seriously, KC is worse than oakland, do you know how bad you have to be to be considered worse than the raiders?

No way, man. If I graded on the number of bites, the idiots in the Politics tab would be guaranteed 10/10. I guess I could curve it based on the size and sensitivity of the audience, but that seems like more trouble than it's worth.

Anyway, CONGRATS on the BRONCOS' likely playoff BERTH this YEAR. Hopefully THEY have even better LUCK than TEBOW in the POSTseason, UNLESS they play THE Bengals, in WHICH case screw 'EM. (I mean, come on. Our streak of seasons without a playoff win is even longer than the Chefs'. It's the longest in the league.)
