Rafa Benitez will be at Chelsea for two seasons.

that is epic. and most likely accurate.

but my new favorite stolen joke: the new statue of SAF isn't nearly as lifelike as chelsea's statue of torres.

I overslept. I think I'm still itis'd from Thanksgiving.

Seeing Rafa at Chelsea is like seeing the boyfriend your parents made you break up with riding around with the snotty popular girl in the sports car her rich crazy dad bought for her. :(

Cognitive Displaysia: SomebodyElsesShoes: Southampton scores. 1-0 over NUFC

It's a good game.

Hah, NUFC on the way to screwing me again unless they manage to score.

2-0 now. Southampton looks really confident.

Well done to you Newcastle.
Lost points on Liverpool, going to lose points on Newcastle, probably going to lose points on City. -20 incoming I'm sure.

I'm watching far too much cricket between Australia/South Africa, India/England and NZ/Sri Lanka to drag myself out of bed to watch a crappy stream of another boring match these days. The highlights are about all I can handle right now.

2-0 does not convey how dominant Southampton were today against NUFC.

And with that they rise out of the bottom 3. Good for them.

There's some unfortunate collateral damage, but I think I'll get over it

The Chelsea fans like the late Roberto Di Matteo (he did die, right? That's what the minutes applause was for?). The Chelsea fans don't like Rafa Benitez. But they chant about Rafa not being welcome and hold up 'Rafa out' posters, but don't say anything about the man who ignored the fans' wishes and fired RDM and hired Rafa. Why is that? Could one of the Chelsea fans explain it to me please?

They don't want to die too?

It seems nobody likes Rafa. His hanging around like vulture over every in-trouble manager must have pissed people off.

I was amused that Fergie could not wait to start taking shots at him and by the ridiculously fake smile Mancini wore when they met pregame.

Agreed. I want the 90 minutes I just spent watching Chelski-Citeh back. Ugly game. Felt like I was watching MLS.

-30 for the day, -20 for the week. I can only hope everyone else did as bad as I did.
Can it be December now?

Disappointing play by both teams.

Had a Spurs win and Chelsea draw. Up to +15 for the week.

I've never had whooping cough.

689908: Was going to change the Chelsea game to 0-0 (for old times sake) ... But I didn't.

Welcome back Rafa.

Seems to me both clubs wanted a draw.
Chelsea did not send any backs up and mata did not control the midfield like he should

Stayed put on +5 for the week. Maybe managed to hang on to 2nd. We'll see.

Alas, you are down to 3rd after a good week for elguepardo.

Ended up at -30 for the week after netting +10 for today. I am now 100 points behind the best of the rest (top of page 2). I think just making it back to the first page at some point will be my goal this season. I would have done much better if I done my scores earlier and put the west brom win in.

So I followed up my best week ever with...my worst week ever. Relieved to still be in the top 15, but yuck I was terrible at my picks this week.

I've just looked at the fixtures for next week. Dear God! Minimum of 10 insurance chips needed. Not one I've got an obvious/instinctive response to.

Reminder for FFPL players: Midweek fixtures coming up, so get your picks in early.

Somehow, I got a +5 for the week and moved up 1 spot.

Thanks for the reminder! Although as crap as I've been this week, I'm wondering if I'll do better if I forget to make picks and have the system pick for me.

The help files sez it does that. So far I haven't seen it in action - even for the zombie players.

Thanks to Charter I still don't have internet at home, so I couldn't follow the thread (at a coffee shop now). At least I managed to get Dish hooked up so I could watch some games.

I'd love to see the Baggies in the Champion's League.

Wouldn't that be great?

Actually that would be pretty awesome. Especially if they made it past the group stage!

Everyone knows I'm in the bag for the Gunners, but if West Brom punched their way to first place and a ticket to the Champions League, I'd be cheering loudly for them.

Moving. Charter cable was supposed to hook up last Tuesday, but it turns out they never ran a cable to my house. Been without internet/phone for a week cause of their mess up. Grrr.
Love the new house though, on a clear night I can see the milky way, so the slight inconvenience is worth it.
