There will be an upset. Notre Dame can only go so far with their creampuff schedule.

Wittek will establish himself.

You know what would be better?

Being able to, you know, actually watch the Oregon-Oregon State game on television. But, alas, I can't, and neither can the majority of the state of Oregon outside of the Willamette Valley. How incredible.

Can Paul Allen just go ahead and die already?

It's only on the Pac-12 network. I don't know the whole story, but I'm surprised that #5 in the nation playing #15 isn't worth national TV.

They can both push it all they want, we still will only watch their networks for a combined five hours yearly. Maybe if they noticed how little niche networks tend to die off a lot we'd get nationally televised games again.

\the dumb side of all this stupid reorganization, right here....

Somehow they think asserting their "rights" over coverage will artificially create demand for these niches and sadly it will take awhile for them to realize what a bad idea it is. In the meantime we get to suffer with a poor product.

It actually gave me hope that Richt can't even fark up that bad and if they keep it close in the first they will win, of course then I remembered we still have Bobo calling the plays and needed another bottle of zantac.

I don't get the explanations for UGA, I understand close wins but doesn't change the fact that IF they beat bama they are in.

I would give them a 40% chance to be there and that's only about the same percentage I give them to beat bama, I would give them more of a chance but Richt and all that.

Headed south to my family in east central Oklahoma for a post thanksgivjg dinner for then to see my new daughter.

Dinner is at my Pentecostal cousins house, she wears long hair in a bun with denim dresses floor length, if she doesn't have a TV, like she didn't last time, I'm leaving post haste to watch the OU/OSU game,

Wife graduated from OSU and my family grew up OU fans, to poor for college, I went to private school tulsa and Norte dame, with a few other mixed in for my weird degree,

So, I'm hoping OU wins, but if OSU wins, and K-state loses its a 4 way tie in the big 12 and they deserve the chaos.

I think it was one of those misguided safety rules. They wanted to discourage dangerous collisions on kick returns, so they lowered the incentive to return it out of the end zone. This year is the first year it's been done if I'm not mistaken.

Pretty much everyone has figured out that kick returns carry the highest chance of a injury-causing collision, since it's the only time there's no line of scrimmage and every one gets a running start. The NFL took a different approach and moved the kickoff forward from the 30 to the 35. It has resulted in more touchbacks where the ball goes out the back of the end zone, but we're seeing more and more returners decide to try and run it out when it doesn't.

REM is from Athens, which is where the UGA campus is. Why is that so surprising.

Actually, MS didnt get permission to use it, and went with "Start Me Up" from the Stones instead. Stipe said he didn't like selling sings for commercial ventures, except movies, which he considers "art."

IamKaiserSoze!!!: mediablitz: ffish: Notre Dame is a legit top team this year, but it's mostly their defense. If they play Alabama they'll get crushed, but 'bama would crush pretty much anyone at this point.

I grew up a huge Notre Dame fan. I do think they are a GOOD team, but not top 5. I think they get stomped by any of the teams behind them.

They had a tough schedule and beat some good teams. I think they are the most overly dissed team in the NCAA.

Not a ND fan and never root for them, but c'mon

They have 1 good win...1 (Oklahoma). Triple OT against Pitt, almost lost to BYU, and needed the refs to give them the Stanford game. They are very lucky to be where they are today.

Meh. I watched 6 of their games. Big fan, but saw the same old no offense, decent defense.

They had a sort of tough schedule, and beat some okay teams. Squeaked by Purdue. Barely beat Michigan, BYU, and Pitt. Their one really big win was over Oklahoma, and an OT win over Stanford.

I hope I'm wrong, but my brain tells me I'm right...

ffish: steamingpile: ffish: Also, a blog post about the BCS picture.

Here are the odds as of right now:

Alabama in title game: 87.1%
Notre Dame in title game: 71.1%
BCS confusion: 30.9%
Georgia in title game: 9.5%
Oregon in title game: 1.4%

For explanations, see the link.

I don't get the explanations for UGA, I understand close wins but doesn't change the fact that IF they beat bama they are in.

I would give them a 40% chance to be there and that's only about the same percentage I give them to beat bama, I would give them more of a chance but Richt and all that.

My computer gives them a 75% shot against GT and about 11% against Alabama.

You should tweak that computer model then, GT had zero shot at winning this game, mainly because they have the shiattiest defense I have ever seen, christ they lost to mtsu for gods sake.

But I get it since its solely the computers who just look at stats/facts, I just saw a weak bama team the past month or so and with LSU almost losing to a shiat team makes the game appear close.

It's a celebration of greatness. The man was a great coach for Ohio State and will be remembered fondly by the vast majority of alumni and fans.

A national title, 9-1 against michigan, more Big Ten hardware than we know what to do with, a Heisman trophy.

Yesterday I told my father in law (who's at the Shoe today) that Syracuse made more sense than either Rutgers or Maryland, especially Maryland. At least Rutgers and Syracuse have football programs.

Spaced Cowboy: karmaceutical: fark this shiat Urban... you are supposed to bring a little more strategery down here inside the 10. fark fark fark

I doubt his red zone strategy includes his center farking up the snap on 2nd and 3rd down.

True, but if he is playing for points you don't need to be in the gun anyway... this is the Big 10 dammit.

2012-11-24 02:29:17 PM

Spaced Cowboy: Defense stepping up big so far though. Maybe their play can spark something positive on the offensive side of the ball.

Or a flag, one or the other

hmmmm, that didn't make it through the filter.

Curse you wily filter!

2012-11-24 02:29:35 PM
Ok someone explain to me why they keep pulling gardner who is having a good game, and keep bringing in denard when it is obvious he is not going to throw the ball. Hoke is limiting his own offense for no good reason.

Have you noticed that tOSU's center seems to hike the ball up in Braxton's face most of the time? WTF is up with that?

2012-11-24 02:30:50 PM
Hyde is beast!

2012-11-24 02:31:48 PM
That puts Hyde over 100 yards already with a lot of game left.

Time for our Lord and Savior Kenny Guiton.

2012-11-24 02:33:38 PM
Question: Will guiton have to come in for the 1s play of the 4th?

2012-11-24 02:33:58 PM
23-21 Ohio State, 15:00 4th

2012-11-24 02:34:09 PM
Does Miller still have to sit out a play with the quarter switching?

2012-11-24 02:34:34 PM
Drew Basil should name his first son Basil.

A lot of season ticket holders I know have requested tickets when last year there were only a few who wanted to go.

Hope springs eternal.

Huh??

2012-11-24 02:42:22 PM
Wow, Michigan caught the replay official taking a smoke break.

2012-11-24 02:42:41 PM
I believe Paul Johnson is fired in under two years, that offense just doesn't work if you can't get the players and his total commitment recruiting style does not endear kids to him.

2012-11-24 02:42:51 PM
Am I watching Mich/tOSU or a Jets scrimmage?

2012-11-24 02:42:59 PM
How is that a fumble? Miller is laying on the ground with his hand on the ball. Just because someone jumps on it 5 seconds later doesn't turn it into a fumble recovery. That's a dicked up call right there.

2012-11-24 02:43:01 PM
Get Farkin Garner over tht farkin ball!!!!

2012-11-24 02:43:38 PM

They keep thinking they can slip one for a few yards on 3rd and short. Just not happening against this interior.

It was a good call. The ball was coming out before his knee or anything else hit. Officials should've done more on the field to note it was a fumble though.

UGA takes over on downs for the third time this game

Michigan got a huge gift and they threw it away.

Someone may want to get Braxton some new cleats.

2012-11-24 02:46:18 PM
What is PJ yelling at? Its not like that one play would have made a difference, you are getting smacked all around the field so stop yelling down to kids.

It was a fumble, but Miller recovered. He had his hand on the ball for a few seconds while laying on the ground. That should be down with possession. There was no reason to jump on the ball and scrum for it as it didn't appear to be loose at that point.

2012-11-24 02:47:14 PM
Urban... we are owed 6 points from the last two clusterfark possessions that should have at least resulted in FG's.

Either way, that was a big failure by the replay booth.

Oh I see what you're saying. Yeah I can agree with that since the officials didn't run in to rule it a fumble right away.

2012-11-24 02:50:31 PM
Geez, this game's gonna come down to who's gonna fark up last.

2012-11-24 02:51:06 PM
Michigan starts at their 8

2012-11-24 02:51:11 PM
Now that's how you pin someone inside the 20.

OK, keep Devin over the farkin ball.

I can't wait for Boz Scaggs to take us into a commercial.

2012-11-24 02:53:01 PM
I don't watch either of these teams often (Ohio St./Michigan), but I'm confused as why they don't have at least a couple of packages where they just line up in the I formation and run it straight forward traditionally. At least on Michigan's part, it seems they're only playing with 3 down lineman most of time with a bunch of linebackers and DB's waiting to stop the option.

2012-11-24 02:53:08 PM
Loving the 90's college rock during the bumpers. Way to be on the cutting edge of music, ABC.

Also, what game are these refs watching?
