If you drank so much you start to feel sick, do NOT stop drinking. Have a cigarette, smoke a doob or snap up a couple lines, down half a beer and then go puke your guts out in the back yard. You'll feel WAY better in the morning than if you quit and do your best to not throw up. Just go for it. Do not use the toilet to hurl - that's just lame.

Plenty of water is your friend. If you're not a regular drinker, drink enough to know your limits before you drink at any type of company event. I have seen many a career damaged early on by an open bar at a company event. And, though I know this is heresy on Fark, if you know you can't drink much without getting stupid-drunk, learn about beverages that look alcoholic but are not. I suggest club soda with a splash of cranberry juice and a splash of Rose's lime.

Never drink a mixed drink at a party unless it's from a professional barkeeper. Only drink beer or wine because you know how strong they are and it's really easy to keep track.

Looks like mostly hangover prevention, not drinking tolerance. Bleh.

Seriously, just be careful and use common sense. Hitting on the boss's wife is not a good idea. Especially if she reciprocates.
