The one that kills me is the "Remember You" song from the I Remember You episode of Adventure Time.

If you've known anyone (particularly a family member) who's been affected by Alzheimer's/dementia, then the song hits mega-hard and doesn't stop hitting.

The whole episode itself hit me way harder than the Jurassic Bark episode of Futurama, and THAT'S saying something.

I know I mentioned it to you in another thread, but I'm going to say the Fry Song again. Yesterday I found the full lyrics. Got mighty dusty real quick.

Oy... the Fry Song would do the trick, aye, that's for sure.

The full original lyrics are particularly poignant.

Joseph Kilna McKenzie - Sgt. McKenzie

Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone

When they come I will stand my ground
Stand my ground I'll not be afraid

Thoughts of home take away my fear
Sweat and blood hide my veil of tears

Once a year say a prayer for me
Close your eyes and remember me

Never more shall I see the sun
For I fell to a Germans gun

Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone

Where before many more have gone

In memory of Sgt. Charles Stuart MacKenzie
Seaforth Highlanders
Who along with many others gave up his life
So that we can live free

We will remember them

Theme from Band of Brothers

"Requiem For A Soldier"

You never lived to see
What you gave to me
One shining dream of hope and love
Life and liberty

With a host of brave unknown soldiers
For your company, you will live forever
Here in our memory

In fields of sacrifice
Heroes paid the price
Young men who died for old men's wars
Gone to paradise

We are all one great band of brothers
And one day you'll see we can live together
When all the world is free

I wish you'd lived to see
All you gave to me
Your shining dream of hope and love
Life and liberty

We are all one great band of brothers
And one day you'll see - we can live together
When all the world is free
