rhiannon: ElBarto79: Packaged venison from a butcher would be perfectly fine, but this is somehow unsanitary?

Correct.

Yes. "Gee, I dragged a dead deer in from the field, complete with whatever critters are living on its hide, and brought it into a food preparation area. I didn't wash it, dress it, or even bag it. I then shoved it into a freezer that normally contains 'only ice'. I have no idea from where it was taken, nor how it was handled before it showed up in my 'only ice' freezer. Y'know, the one that contains the ice I use for drinks."

Because nothing says "taco" quite like "deer tick taco." Or "taco with extra fleas, please." Or "deer hair taco." Or "intestinal parasite taco."

And nothing says "a soda with ice" quite like "a soda with ice and deer hair." Or "a soda with ice and deer ticks."

Fell In Love With a Chair: ElBarto79: Packaged venison from a butcher would be perfectly fine, but this is somehow unsanitary?

Did you see the part where they said that's where they keep the ice? Who knows what diseases that thing has or what was living in its fur.

or the pictures? I prefer to keep a deer's leaking arsehole and lyme disease separate from the stuff that goes into my drink. I also love the smug dickbag in the video's reaction, like "oh I don understand what big deal ees, I feel bad for my customers, they are the veectims here" gotta wonder what happens there the other 364 days of the year the inspector isn't there.

/at least field dress the deer you lazy asshole.

ElBarto79: Packaged venison from a butcher would be perfectly fine, but this is somehow unsanitary? I'm having a hard time being bothered by a restaurant storing deer in its freezer. Also I thought most chefs never wear gloves, I worked at a high end restaurant for years, no one ever wore them.

I'd worry about the ticks, fleas and lice myself.

Does fully intact mean fully intact?

Who kills a buck and doesn't immediately field dress it?

And the meat is only gamey if it was butchered by some one who didn't know what they were doing.

Yeah. A fully intact dead animal is more sanitary than my mouth. And I spit on your burger sometimes. What's the problem?

After my brother gets his deer butchered he gives all the bones and leftover parts to the owners of a Chinese restaurant. Apparently they make a soup out of all the parts. He gets free food in return.
