A side of cookies and dog food is a great idea, but it would be even cooler if he added cheetos, doritos, or potato chips and a glass of milk. PB&J just isn't the same without it.

Surely George Washington flying to the moon on a bald eagle to dig for oil whilst declaring miscellaneous wars nations of the middle east, perhaps drinking a PBR and listening to some Freebird would be more American?

What those people really need is to be put to work.

If they had a place to work, they would not have an excuse to panhandle, and they would have to stay sober at least a part of the day. Furthermore, as soon as they had a little money laid up, they would be looking fort a better job.

Cost would be about 10% of what we are spending today, with no visible results.

Yeah, there really is nothing more American than giving handouts to deadbeats.

"Six years ago, my mom and I went out with about 10 or 15 lunches," Tommy told FOX40.

So, either he was a super mature genius/independently wealthy 3 year old, or his mom founded it and he went along.

But wait! shouts the media. That won't sell market share! We need....A STORY!

Hold on, it's really not so much of a hipster thing. Around here it's what 30pack can you buy for the least amount of money when it's your turn to buy the cheapest 30pack in the store.

Would you hire most of the ones you see on the street to wash your dog?

I'm sorry to post three times in a row, but I feel it's important to note the following:

When I was in England/France in 1993, Stella Atois was the cheapest (ok, lower- lower~mid-priced and very tasty) beer available. Now they are selling it here in the USA as a premium lager. I respect the beer, but I'm not going to pay premium price for that swill. When I was in England in 1993, we took the Calais ferry over and came back with grocery carts full of that stuff, for pounds on the dollar. And while it is a great beer, it is not a premium lager no matter how many miles you ship it or what sort of fancy glasses you put it in.

/bitter about Stella

for some reason, I doubt he'll find peanut allergies in the homeless. See, there are very few helicopter parents to be attention whores when dealing with the homeless.

He should feed them peanut butter and cranberry sauce sandwiches. It's a nice change from everday grape or strawberry jelly.

Not sure how this kid is a hero. Yes, it's a nice thing to do but he's doing it with his Mom's money. Just for grins, let's wait until he's 25, working for a living, paying off student loans, having to support himself and maybe a rugrat or two and check back in on how many lunches he's passing out.

2012-11-24 09:19:37 AM
Lets see that kid use his money to pay for all the bread, jelly and peanut butter to feed every homeless person within the city. Then he'll know what it's like to be a working man that doesn't skirt his taxes. Then, when he runs out of money, lets see him deal with all of the pissed off homeless people that now feel entitled to those sammiches. Then he'll know what it's like to be the U.S. government.

Yes I would, but they want $20 up front for "lunch money," drink up their "lunch" and never show up for work. Until you teach them to be responsible there will be no change.

Pssst. The sign is often a hook.
