(Pro Football Talk)   NFL executive VP of football operations says Ndamukong Suh's groin kick to Matt Schaub looked "out of the ordinary" and "didn't appear to be a natural football move," much in the same way that Matt Schaub no longer has his natural singing voice   (profootballtalk.nbcsports.com) divider line 93

Is Suh so pissed off that he works every Thanksgiving that he resorts to stomping lineman or kicking QB's in the yambag? Control your players coach! Right after you learn the challenge rules first

When I saw it in real time, it didn't look like anything really. Then in slow-mo, I thought "well that's sort of an odd movement there by Suh". Then in super-slow-mo it looked like Suh really just tried his best to hit Schaub with his foot while he was going down. Then in super-super-slow-mo I'm pretty sure he aimed directly for Schaub's groin. Then in super-super-super-slow-mo I could see that Suh was visibly mouthing "I'm going to hit that guy right in the balls!" Then I watched it in super-super-super-super-slow-mo and I think I saw that Matt Schaub thrust his groin directly at the camera as if to say, "Come and get some of these nuts, AMERICA!" Then I watched it in super-super-super-super-super-slow-mo and when the video is finished sometime tomorrow I'll tell you what I saw.

If that were his only infraction, I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's not obviously intentional. Given his track record, however, you have to think he did it on purpose.

2012-11-23 02:48:46 PM
if the league sincerely wants to make a statement about sportsmanship, they should ban him for life. There's too much talent in the world for guys like Suh and Cortland Finnegan to have careers.

/Also Payton and Belicheat.

In real-time its hard to see, kinda like leg-whipping. But slow it down and you can see it fairly easily, he redirects his foot from the arc it was on specifically to hit Shaloob *there*.

Plus, when you consider the history? Ed Reed got suspended a game because they said they look at 3 years. Yea, it was reduced on appeal, but the point is, look at his history and then see this?

He needs a suspension.

Suspend him, and take away his subway promotions. The guy is an embarrassment to the league.

Lay off of Suh; he clearly suffers from restless leg syndrome. Same thing happened when he stomped Evan Dietrich-Smith--it's a twitch!

Unfortunately, the side effects from RLS medication may include falling sleep without warning, sleepiness, nausea and vomiting, constipation, dizziness, tiredness, hallucinations, dry mouth, muscle spasms, edema, muscle weakness, confusion, abnormal movements, abnormal dreams, memory problems, and urinating more often than normal, and I think we can agree that a barfy, hallucinating Suh peeing on opposing players and then falling over on them in a dead sleep is *not* a desirable outcome. But he should ask his doctor if it's right for him.

Seeing how he brings his leg down, both the speed and the angle, it definitely looks dirty. Don't think he was aiming for the nut shot, though. That's just where his Cleats of Wrath happened to hit.

I'm pretty sure if a middle-manager had a history of telling his employees to do things like this he wouldn't be promoted to department VP.

I think Schaub oversold that kick. Besides aren't they wearing cups. That should negate any hits to the helmet.

I'm pretty sure you'd also be fired and arrested if you tackled a co-worker, yet the NFL is totally cool with people doing this on damn near every play. Weird, right?

2012-11-23 05:15:48 PM
This is ridiculous.

In super-slow-motion Suh's leg kicks out right at the very end, the very tip of his toe connecting with Schaub.

In real-time (as in, the speed in actually happened) a 350+ pound man got stood on his head, his body twisted, and his legged whipped around.

Are we to believe that Suh intentionally did an reverse ninja-style kick, perfectly planned and executed, in about a half-seconds time, while upside down?

Detroit haters are so farking desperate.

Not that it matters much anymore, so everyone should be happy, Suh will never be able to play up to his potential. If he plays anywhere close to 100% he'll be flagged, fined, and suspended. (For example - Suh is the only player in the league not allowed to push people down from behind or pull them down by their dreadlocks).

/yes, I'm still bitter about yesterday.
