Hell no. Keep Gasol, if Stern wouldn't approve the trade last year, there is no way he approves something as uneven as this. Gasol isn't even in the same league as Smith.

Gasol for Smith and Kyle Korver would work out financially, and they both have expiring contracts which helps the Lakers for next year. Korver would be a great fit and could potentially shoot 50% from the three point line in that offense, though I'd be concerned about Smith becoming three happy too.

Ultimately though I don't think Cup Check would trade Pau until right at the deadline, assuming things aren't working out.

Got tangled with Melo, took a shot and the didn't feel the effects of it until going back upcourt. He's apparently feeling better and he came come back in the game

Because Rudy sucks and for some reason Hollins thinks Rudy has reasonable to good ball handling skills but in reality he has bad to terrible ball handling skills.

This is so stupid it's barely worth a reply, but I'm bored so...

Josh Smith is so damn over-rated. Wow he can jump high.

1. Blocks are over-rated.
2. His FT% is horrendous. That's not going to work on a team with Dwight Howard.
3. His FG% is horrible for someone who doesn't shoot threes.
4. He is a noted head case.
5. Josh Smith is 11th in the league in Turnovers per game and he's not even a guard.

Plus Jim Buss is not going to trade a tall white player for an athletic black player. He already did that once this season when he traded Andrew Bynum.

Lakers lost 2 in a row, so of course there has to be a Laker thread.

They dry up when the lakers win 5/6.

Tonight's game was total BS btw. I think the lakers had around 7 offensive fouls. Flops were plentiful. They need to just get rid of charging if they aren't going to ever call it correctly. Watching Marc Gasol move into the player who beat his defender and draw a charge is just painful to watch. It's not just this game, but rampant in the NBA. Only about 10% of charges and offensive fouls are even legit. The rest are bad ref judgement and flops.

Didn't see it, but three games in 4 nights, the last one against one of the better teams in the league is gonna be tough on old guys. Not something that will happen in the postseason, though.
