Sounds like he's a "freeman on the land" idiot, like that kid that got tazed.

I expect that he's going to find himself in jail pretty soon for contempt of court, and that his next hearing is going to have some SERIOUS security precautions in place.

He's about to find out how much the law DOES apply to him.

Frankly, they should just take him out back and shoot him. He's too stupid to live.

Marcus Aurelius: wejash: The JP adjourned the case and left the room because a mob, headed by a possibly-armed defendant were pushing towards a mini-riot, leaving the cops to clear 'em out. JPs tend to be part-time judges and I'll bet this is not exactly over, just going to escalate to more serious charges.

Contempt of court, and that's just for starters. I guarantee that judges, even JPs, do not suffer shenanigans in their courtrooms lightly.

I'm hoping/betting the book ends up tossed at him just for that "dismissal of charges" jackassery at the end of the incident too.

Yeah, this guy's cuckoo for conservapuffs.

But do they seriously not check a defendant for weapons upon entering the courtroom? I thought they'd at least have a metal detector at the door or something.

Can't blame the judge for hightailing it when he thought the whackjob might be armed and have an angry mob at his disposal, though. He'll get his when the time for sentencing comes.

"The judge has left the room, I'm in charge now," Boniek said.

The republican is strong with this one.

What good are balls without an equal measure of brains?

stuffy: Would never expect that kind of behavior from a Tea Party Candidate.

I don't know; maybe back during his political career, but it sounds to me like he's gone full Sovereign Citizen nowadays. Even the Tea Partiers look down on them.
