It's not free everyday?

If not, who are you imagining will pay money for songs from some unknown band?

Nice.

Usually, the idea is to play around at local clubs (or on the college station in town before you get picked up by the clubs) and sell your albums there. Then you get picked up by a label (this is the tricky bit) and have more luck selling albums.

It's unlikely that anyone will find an unknown band online and start buying their stuff (though it happens), but it's not terribly unlikely that someone goes to a concert, has a good time and buys a CD to listen to later.

To Subby: your music is not my cup of tea, but it sounds like it should have a fair amount of mainstream appeal. I wish you luck.

How about a simple direct link to a sample track? I disabled all my ad/flash/script blocking software, and still can't get that page to play any of the songs.

Seriously, subby, think about this for a second. You know that ad/flash/script blocking software is now a normal part of the average browsing experience for most users. You also have to admit that most people aren't willing to disable all of that just to listen to a song sample from some unknown local band trying to gain some exposure for themselves. It isn't that they don't think you are good, it is just that there are so many bands out there trying to do the same thing. There is no way the average user is going to be willing to do that for all of them, meaning that it isn't really likely that they are going to be willing to do it for any of them. I tried doing it for you, because you are a Farker and because I am bored shiatless right now. And I still couldn't get the site to recognize that I have scripting enabled and functioning normally even after restarting the entire browser. Didn't work in IE for me either, so maybe it wasn't even my particular addons. Whatever. The point is, you want to make it easy for people to hear your music. All that site's scripting is a big pain in the ass standing right between your songs and users' ears. It may work just fine for some, but it won't work for everyone. How many people are you missing out on? How many people make it to the site, click on the link to listen, and get the error message saying to disable their software, and simply leave? If it is more than one, it is too many. That site is not doing you any favors, pal. A direct link to a song sample file is the way to go. Still every bit as trackable as the script-o-rama version, but now you are guaranteed that everyone who tries to listen gets to hear it.

I wish I could have heard it, and I wish you better luck with your band than I had with it.

This didn't suck nearly as much as I expected it to. If you're truly a Farker you'll know that's a compliment.

/Instrumentation = great.
//How does one play an etc?

I have ad blocking software and had no problem loading the page (which, btw, takes you directly to the songs).

Nice long rant though...
