Didn't we do this one last year?

2012-11-23 10:53:32 AM
I didn't thank God either, because God is a lie.

And the year before that?

"Yet again, President Obama's Thanksgiving message eschewed any direct reference to thanking God, making this the fourth straight year in which the president of the United States has ignored the central message of the holiday in favor of political grandstanding,"

If anyone knows politcal grandstanding, it is us!

I give up.

Last time I thanked God my dog died the next day! Not this time!

FTFA: "The president's mention of the freedom "to worship as we please" could be seen as a challenge to conservatives and the Catholic Church, both of which have accused his administration of waging a war on religious freedom."

Do the people who write this kind of stupid shiat ever feel any shame at all?

1st outrage!

FTFA: "Obama's lack of overt religiosity has been a source of controversy," the pro-life LifeSiteNews reported, "with polls consistently showing that a large number of Americans are unaware that Obama is a Christian, or doubt the claim."

This is actually what I want in government. Lack of overt religiosity. That whole separation of church and state thing. I like it.

I dunno, freedom to worship as we please definitely infringes on their right to freely force their religion on us

Are there any other fictional entities that Obama didn't thank that we should be outraged about too? Wouldn't want to offend anyone out there or their imaginary friends.

Didn't God vote Republican. Why the fark would Obama thank him?

2012-11-23 11:02:54 AM
Maybe God told him to liberate those turkeys. And then followed up with "But don't tell anyone it was me."

2012-11-23 11:03:27 AM
FTA:
"But conservatives aren't the only people the president upset on Thanksgiving. Soon, he may hear from animal rights activists."Peace, one of two turkeys pardoned by President Obama last year, was euthanized Monday, according to an official who insisted the timing of the death - days before the Thanksgiving holiday - was not suspicious," CNN reports."

Suspicious indeed. The murder of Peace the Turkey will make the Vince Foster affair look like something Rush Limbaugh just made up.

Once again Obama failed to pander to religious maniacs OH THE HORROR

He also forgot to thank all the rational Christian conservatives out there, that's an imaginary group he definitely doesn't want to piss off.

Zuul. And as I understand it, you don't want to piss him off. We're boned. Thanks Obama.

Judging by the fact that Hurricane Sandy put the final nail in Romney's coffin, I've got a feeling that God voted D this time around.

To be fair, God hasn't done a very good job this year, what with the hurricanes leaving millions of people without power.

Once again, its the super religious who need their faith validated the most. Maybe they are the ones with the weak faith, not everyone else as they claim.

How insecure do you have to be in your faith that you need the guy you didn't vote for to pay lip service to your god?

Technically, "allahu akbar" means God is great. So back off fundies.

There hasn't been a President that was accused of as much utter bullshiat than Obama. I'm sorry that Dubya sucked so much and did things that actually warranted pointing out. That's no reason to take it out on Obama. Or I guess that's the only reason.

Oh jeez. They're even worse than election week!

it's only 10:30, but I'm going to consume a beer to wash the vile taste of the buttgrease from those comments from my pysche.

I know that Yahoo comments only really represent a very small, stupid, and vocal slice of humans, but they scare the hell out of me nonetheless.

Isn't the point of Thanksgiving to be a secular holiday of good will? Being good to each other and thankful regardless of religion?

I can't think of anything ruder than making Thanksgiving about one particular religion.

So, at this point does the Zero, "0", you use when you write the president's name...what does that represent?

The only think I can think of is that it represents the number of Presidential General Elections he's lost to Republicans...

Is that it?

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

I think he means the scandal of John McCain and Fox News politicizing the deaths of brave Americans after they lost the election. That was horrible. Someone should investigate those assholes.

He should have thanked god in his infinite wisdom that he chose to have a democrat in the white house as opposed to a republican. Y'know, for the lulz.
