APPLE CUP TIME!

I wonder what kinds of crazy things Mike Leach will say after the game.

You mean Ohio at Kent State. Kentucky plays Tennessee tomorrow. The winner gets a coach.

Maybe.

Go Hawks!

/gonna get blown out

Ya, sorry about Iowa this year. I am actually hoping they do OK today since a kid my son played football with is now a Hawkeye freshman receiver. So, I guess, go Hawkeyes, and throw the ball to Tevaun (assuming he sees the field today).

Someone tell me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was (literally) illegal for college football to play on Friday because that's for High School.  And the NFL can't play on Saturday because that's for college.

2012-11-23 01:06:33 PM
has anyone heard of "ESPN America"? i ask because there appears to be no ads on it and just shiatty propaganda videos for the ncaa, schools, and players plus random highlights from random games in recent season.

/also i think it might be windy in iowa.

no laws. lots of gentlemen's agreements. the nfl plays on saturdays once college is done. espn usually has a friday night game (last year's were great; the tessitore effect). some high schools play on saturdays due to lack of lighting or gangs. and the day after thanksgiving has always been an odd day.

NFL can't play on Friday or Saturday, with some exceptions in weeks 16 & 17 due to Christmas & New Years.
College has no restrictions far as I know.

Not really, but they don't really count as football when they do actually play.

A Fark Handle: has anyone heard of "ESPN America"?

It's a British channel with distribution across Europe, featuring sports programming from "America" rather than Europe.

So sad that at the beginning of the season this was a game that some thought might determine the BCS champ. Then the season ended after week two.

/sad AR fan

ok, thanks. that's what it seemed like. not sure why there are no ads. the shiatty propaganda videos are more annoying than commercials. i'm serious.

This, plus I'm pretty sure there aren't any HS games on the day after Thanksgiving.

I just like busting imapirate's chops. I'd love to have a football team that was close to ULs this year.

I am as big of a diehard Nebraska fan as you can meet and if you told me they were making a law involving football I would say the government entity responsible is retarded

Remember when Bo Pelini promised his team would win out and everyone laughed in his face? Yeah, looks like we're getting Nebraska v. Wisconsin 2: Electric Boogaloo.

soosh: Kent State is #23? What kind of hooliganism is this?

Only lost once. Won at Rutgers giving them their only loss so far. 4 out of the 6 BCS computers put them at #19.

TigersorHawksorBoth: Go Hawks!

/gonna get blown out

I have to admit, I'm still bumming that the Hawks lost that game. I fully expected them to lose, and probably badly. I'm proud of the players for playing so hard, but my grandmother could have called a better game offensively, and she's been decomposing for ten years.

Hats off to the Huskers. I now can only hope that the Browns can pull off the upset on Sunday.

/Not a Browns fan at all, but my smelly pirate hooker ex is going to that game on my dime.

Let's go Cougs!

/since subby is a dumbass and didn't even mention the only relevant games
//also, go Sun Devils!

I know UW is going to win this, but it's pretty embarrassing for them to be trailing after a quarter.

Was a hell of a lot closer than both of us were thinking.

Velvet Fog and I both cared. So you are wrong on that count.

only thing more embarrassing than that is that incredibly stupid penalty on uw there. illegal block in the back for blocking the gunner into your own punter returner. farking brilliant.

CU COVERS! Do you believe in MIRACLES!??

WVU beat Iowa State.....surprisingly.
The Mountaineers strove mightily to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but were denied.
/there's always next weekend

2012-11-23 07:05:31 PM
Free football between UW and WSU

2012-11-23 07:13:52 PM
wow! stupid farking coons (that's racist.jpg)...and then that. 5 yards from a fat guy touchdown for the win in the apple cup overtime.
