(The Atlantic)   The obesity gene helps protect against depression. So how come I still feel sad after eating an entire cheesecake?   (theatlantic.com) divider line 3

THIS. My weight fluctuates wildly, but I've never given it much thought. I worked in one very poorly organized, more under staffed than usual restaurant for a time and wore a pedometer to work one day for kicks and giggles. I logged over 10 miles in one shift, so that explained why I was quite thin. Nearly anorexic looking. The restaurant I was just working at for nearly a decade closed, so now I'm a chubster again. I do not care, I will still slaughter the rest of that pumpkin pie today! It's all the pie's fault anyway.
