Dirty Jobs hasn't had any jobs to do for a while now. It's no wonder it got the axe. They had to go to Australia for the last 4 episodes. Surprised he never got an auto mechanic on the show though.

Mythbusters has done nothing but movie myths for a while now. Yes. We get it. movies aren't real life.

forgotmydamnusername: Shadowknight: forgotmydamnusername: Neeek: slayer199: Mike Rowe seems like a cool guy....he'll land on his feet.

The friends of mine who have dealt with him say he's a complete dick. Like, they hate him with a passion.

I only know what I see on TV, and I'm not surprised by that at all. He just never impressed me the way he did some of the other people that are commenting, apparently.

Well, I know a guy who has a cousin that dated a guy that met him at a gas station, and says he's awesome.

/proof is just as valid as his
//he may very well be a dick, but I've heard nothing to that effect outside of that guy's post

Just watch the show and pay attention. There can be this vague hint of patronization and bemusement in his dealings with the holders of said dirty jobs. It's like some fraternity douche talking to the plumber that's unclogging the toilet at the frat house or something.

Just looked like he was trying to be funny to me. You know, what made the show entertaining. A little good natured ribbing on them, healthy dose of sarcastic self-deprication on himself...

I think you read too much into jokes, most of which they probably had heard variants of before.

AeAe: I like Mike Rowe .. until he started sucking Romney's cock..

Well now you can start a list of celebrities for you to boycott

ecl: lacydog: styckx: Is there anything even good left on that channel besides Mythbusters? The decline of good programming on that channel and history channel was the final push to make me cut the cable cord over the summer. Now I just download the entire 3 shows combined between the two channels I even watched.

If you're into Pawn Stars, there's that. I actually like Pawn Stars - but I quite enjoy the thrifting business as I used to work at a Goodwill and have some appreciation for the skill involved in what they do. That being said, the half a dozen other thrifting shows they have and the other thrifting shows on cable have sort-of ruined a lot of that fun for me. Modern Marvels is always... something. Informative I guess?

I've never watched Swamp People, Ax Men or IRT. I assume they are all awful.

Pretty much all the reality shows are garbage and should be eschewed. Storage Wars does have DST though.

Storage wars and duck dynasty are both fairly decent. I like pawn stars too, and there was one called Oddities which focused on a shop that sold some pretty macabre stuff. I quite liked that one

bump: There was that one episode with some 'mosquito girl' who, I thought - gave off a vibe indicating that she and Mikey did the horizontal bop later during the shoot. She gave off a serious sexual... energy....

I always liked the onair version of the guy - seemed quite normal and quick witted. The show certainly had more 'oomph' than most of the other 'network dating with the iceskating stars/reality/competition' bowlshirt out there so they get my thanks for that much.

Greener pastures Sir (& crew)....

/tips hat

I'd say they both wanted to. The only unattractive thing about Mike is just how damn cocksure he is, despite being the sexiest guy I can think of. He seems like he might not buy you dinner first, so to speak.

Jeez, I'll miss that show. I can't believe the shiat that channel passes off as programming now..."Amish Mafia"??? Really?

Oddities was a great show, until the skinny guy was so horrible to that poor girl on their date. I couldn't watch it anymore after that.

I will forever thank Mike Rowe for convincing women that hairy men can actually be sexy and that we don't all have to be waxed down metrosexuals. Not that I, personally, am sexy either way. But it's nice to not have that hair-thing to worry about anymore anyway.

Mike Rowe is a manly man and that's sexy. Metrosexuals aren't sexy imho.

Waaaayyy late to the thread, but so totally agree with you. Manly rugged and hairy beats pretty-boy any day of the week, which is why i make my hubby wear a bit of a beard. He's a bit babyfaced without it.

Been wondering when this was going to come, running out of ideas, the side show in Australia was kinda terrible. What a great idea and great host, this show will last forever in reruns.

Also I don't qualify this as a reality show, because reality is fake shiat that homos watch.

Marshal805: Pawn Shops are where you go if you need some cash that day, like bail money or something.

Pretty much. But most of the people don't need the cash immediately...they're just too lazy to post online.

I'm not blaming pawn shops...they need to make a buck on whatever they buy...but the sellers are idiots.

WhippingBoy: Christ... they cancelled Dirty Jobs but not Mythbusters? That show has seen better days; it needs to be put out of its misery.

What you said.

i hate anybody and everybody whose smilin' face is hawking cars to me every commercial break

seems like a decent guy, shame there's no exceptions

This makes me sad, I like Mike and one thing you can say about him is he isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty! Not to mention that he is one sexy beast! Hopefully his next gig will involve him without a shirt at all times...

I would do many dirty things to that man.

I was sad to see him try and get into politics. its going to be even sadder to see his new show on Fox News :( Dammit mike, couldnt keep that shiat at home could you?

The_Sponge: SPIFFY tag? WTF?'

Well I assume most people loved it being cancelled after Rowe first came out as a Romney supporter, I remember thinking at the time of the interview "I wonder how long till he's canned....."

JustMatt: Just keep making more How It's Made... I can watch that show for hours and hours. No people (besides their hands usually), no drama, just industrial processes for making the the stuff we use.

My GF hates it when I turn that show on, I can watch for hours and she gets bored after an episode.

slayer199: I actually liked Dirty Jobs for awhile. It was kinda cool to see jobs people do that you don't really think about. The problem was the last few seasons, it became repetitive.

Mike Rowe seems like a cool guy....he'll land on his feet.

I know several people who have worked with him through two different production companies. He is apparently a massive prick who treats everyone like shiat. No one ever looks forward to working with him.
